This guy is a philosophical genius, a very talented and knowledgeable guitar player, and one of the worst songwriters in the history of music. Pithy, no-impact lyrics, coupled with melodies that are truly forgettable. He richly deserves the obscurity which he has achieved.
I heard the "rest" of the story when he performed in San Diego. I LOVE this story. I'm a molecular biologist by trade, and dig the David prose either way. So, this was my kind of jam. I can't wait till it can be released. Any time-line hints?

For me the simplicity of the melodies mean you can concentrate on some really beautiful lyrics. His ability to state the moments we pass through in life I think reflect the life we all live better that "great art"... not high brow, not complicated, yes, not "impressive" but true.... The beauty of the everyday, eating, sleeping, dating, praying and waking up with or without someone that understands you and above all not giving up ... the tiny mosaic of ordinary becomes extraordinary

Hey, we won't be releasing that song on video - for licensing reasons, David's going to re-write it.

I remember a shorter version of this at a show in Birmingham. Very interesting stuff! This clip seems to cut off before he's quite finished, though.
