Wow thankyou so much for ur great vids. I have flown planes for a couple years and now am trying to transtion to helis and ur vids help me greatly..THANKYOU SO MUCH
I've gotta say, you've got great flying skills but flying one of those in the yard while the kids are playing nearby isn't the smartest thing I've seen you do. I'm sure you know that anything can go wrong. That said, I really wish I could fly like that. I'll keep practicing. Thx for the videos.
I think by the teaching in a flight sute is beter @ least we all know u know what u are talking about.not like others on here they just talk u demo..love the vid's..I'm buying a sim I would not want to crash my new bird t-rex 450 new bee
Love your videos. I'm dieing to know what gyro you have on this and what servos? I have three B400's and one is now a donor because they crash so much. I'll have them tuned in perfect and the servo will wig out, or the gyro and control is gone.
Very good valuable flight instruction, it's like sitting in a flight school class, the suit makes you look official, and, adds to the visuals, your responses are all very wise. Your videos are unique and some of the best for breaking past the fear factor on YouTube. Good work!
When I wrote "you shouldn't fly around the children", I meant literally dont fly circles around the kids at play. Yes, by all means allow them to "see" the helicopter flying, but safely and not as moving targets under those blades.
I watched this video a while back and I've been doing this deceleration alot lately with your tips in mind. Now its one of my favorite moves to finish a flight. It looks and sounds great when the heli is coming in full speed.
Your tips for doing this deceleration properly are spot on accurate! Thanks!
it will teach you muscle memory and orientation training. on bad thing about sims is you have a tendency to do thing beyond your level due to the lack of fear.
fear is the biggest thing that will hold you back. once you learn to harness and absorbe fear will further inhance your skills. and a sim will not get you to that point only flying. but yes RF and phoenix are great sims
i just got home from work and my niehbor said that he could fim so i ran in grabed my stuff and recorded. i do wish i remembered to change. but the suit is a flight suit im in the US ARMY and crew CH47 helicopters
How strict are they when it comes to vision when you enlist to fly helicopters? I already know I can't fly fighter jets because of my vision(i'm also too tall, last year I was almost too big to fit in the cockpit and I'm only 14 lol). I have to wear glasses and i am slightly color blind. With the colorblindness i occasionally have problems telling dark red and brown from each other. Do you think they would let me fly?
Hi Sokal: your videos are very helpful to people who are new to the hobby...really not much help from hobby shops once the sale is made except to sell more parts! You should consider making training videos for E-flite!
The value provided by your videos places you in a position that you do not have to defend/ justify anything from comments made that are off topic.
Keep up the good effort and know that there are many people who appreciate and use the information in your videos!
im home bread hawaiian so that made me very happy to see my native words.
but thank you and not sure how to approch eflite with that. and i thank you for your comment. i do this for folks like u said dont get much help. and its a shame. but again thank you happy new year
i just got my blade 400 yesterday. and i love it. it sounds soo mean and is really powerful. for me cause i came from a gutless cx2. this video is really helpful. ive only been hovering my blade 400 cause on the sim i cant seem to slow down once i run a lap. the only way i slow down is reset or crash. ill try this but i hope my blade dont run off on me. cause i dont think ill be able to get it back. we will see tommorrow. by the way love your flying and your videos. your awesome!!!!!!!
good luck my friend and thank you for you support of our nation. also the MH-53 wil be phased out of the AF soon and the HH-47 will take its place. keep it up and work for your goals.
I don't have much to say about the educational value of this, but from a SAFETY point of view thif is bad. You may be a good pilot and a good instructor, but no matter how good you are, hardware failures happen to everyone. I think that child needs to be kep at a safe distance. A thrown blade is as good as a bullet. Do your flying at a field or playground with a safety buffer.
thank you so very much helped with a couple of ?s thank yo again can you explian about the swash plate to avoid the lean that is there when in a hover
Thank you for this wonderful series of videos. You are aces in my book and just helped me fix my blade... keep up the good work. I especially enjoyed parts about getting squash plate level. If you fly RC, you need to be able to build them after a crash. The problem with RTF aircraft is that you do not learn the mechanics until you have to post crash. Your time and effort were well spent.
Good one... I was actually outside in real life for 5 hours yesterday at the local RC field. I flew my 400 practicing hovering for about 15 minutes (ran out of battery). I just got it fixed after a major wreck. Your video helped... so until the next crash... I will be flying. I am thinking of getting another 400... one for repair and the other to fly ... exchanging as necessary... hopefully diminishing frequency....
Hey don't listen to those idiots saying you are no good. I'm still learning myself and really appreciate you going to the effort of making your videos. At least you are actually DOING something to help people as opposed to making nasty comments & doing stuff-all else for others. Keep up the great work. If you do anymore can you do one on trimming up the Blade 400 after a crash? I've repaired mine but it's all over the place now & needs setting up again. Thanks for your efforts. Craig, Australia
To add some constructive criticism I thought the discussion part was a little too long and repetitive, but the only way to get really good at making videos like this is to practice! You may lose some viewers before you do the actual demo flying the heli, but I think being concise but still including everything you want to say is very difficult and can take a very long time to achieve.
Good for you for giving it a go and doing a decent job of helping us newbs out. Thanks.
I do enjoy his videos too, I did not know that was him in this video, ans I was mearly practicing constructive critisism. I'm sure he is very knowlegable in this subject, but his teachins skills could use some work.

I love how you fly with kids playing in the front yard.

Nice job! Especially on the decels - I dig the 180 turns too, hopefully I can do that by the end of summer.
How do you compare the b400 to the t450 pro? I have the t450 pro, but might get another cheaper 400 sized heli for learning.

To The Idiots Who Leave Stupid Comments such as ...
"boring ... "
The title of the video clearing indicates the content. Why the hell did your click on it.
"you shouldn't fly around the children "
How do you expect to get children interested in this hobby if they cannot see the helicopters fly?
Your lives must suck that you have to tear into a guy who produces some good educational videos.

Great set of Videos on the Blade 400. After a fair bit of research I finally decided on this Heli for my next step and ordered one yesterday.
Now I have to bunker down and play with the sim for a month or two. Thanks for the info. Cheers and Merry Christmas from Australia.
PS. Don't you just get sick and tired of the negative comments from idiots.

Interesting and imformative video mate, would you say Realflight G4.5's physics are accurate enough to practice this in the sim?
