  • Sure that is a great Idea but make sure you keep an eye just incase but I would just buy a quick charger way better

  • No you can't even do it with a series connecter it will ruin the battery

  • you should buy SERIES CONNECTER couse if you use the parralle connecter it will took a long time to charge...

  • @988miller

you cant charge batteries with a series connector. only with a parrelel connector.

  • trying to charge in series will short out the batteries. you can only charge them un parrelel.

  • just buy a charger there like 40 dolars

  • just dont charge nimh in paralel or series...

  • do your self a favour and get a peak charger its way faster then the charger that comes with it which= less waiting for batteris to charge

  • i had a mini slash and it worked but u have the rong conecter

  • THIS ISNT A GOOD IDEA BECAUSE YOUR BATTERIES DONT RECHARGE CORRECTLY AND YOU CAN BREAK YOUR BATTERIES.. I HAVE ONE MINI E-REVO TOO AND YOU CAN BELIEVE ME!

    THUMBS UP!

  • this is bad cause the charger only has enought volts so you might short circuit it

  • Hey! I have a better idea for you. Buy a better charger then you can charge the battery a lot faster and take lipos. Trust me they work MUCH better then the stock battery.

  • get yourself a better charger and LIPO!!!

  • In series the batteries split the voltage, so each battery will get half the voltage it needs. You won't get a full charge. This however, is not as DANGEROUS as using a parallel connector. With the parallel connector and two perfectly matched battery packs, it will work fine, just take twice as long to charge (same as one after another). If one pack has a cell going bad or something, the good pack will dump power into the weak one, which is dangerous. Better off getting a cheap smart charger.

  • Get a smart charger u nooblet

  • yes it is a good idea but you do it with spring wire because you have turned the wire for 14 volts but you have to have that you can run twice as long

it's good because if I do it too: P

  • omg buy a better charger my lipo 2200 mah 2s needs 25 min

  • Get the E-Revo EZ-PEAK fast charger! Charges really fast! Or check on Ebay!

  • omg what yu doing ?? get a fast charger , if you want to kill your bats do what yu doing right now :D

  • DO NOT DO THAT U WILL KILL THE BATTERYS GET A fast charger

  • nihm just wont charge as fast however DO NOT TRY THIS WITH LIPO lipos are very unstable and probaly would cach fire!!

  • no u don't charge them in parallel you charge in series just like he is showing it will just take longer i think you need to get your stuff straight before you start cursing and calling others retarded

  • @pimp9747 no

  • Da magic meatball says no

  • hay how bout using pretection with a paralell

  • Charge them in paralell you fool! Not series...

  • that is definitely not a good idea, the chargers are made to charge a certain amount of cells. our packs have 6 cells and that stock charger is only made for 6. youve got 12 hooked up to it. go spend $30 on a charger that does 1 amp and they charge faster, plus they shut off on their own, some even trickle charge the battery till you unplug it and this can even help damaged batteries.

  • @NickleNipple 1amp, that aint shit, i use 5

  • Dont plug it in before you make the vid. What if it would have went up in flames? Not that it would but dont make a vid asking if its a good idea if you already did it. It is fine with the parallel connector but not the series.

  • you'll find out when your house goes up in flames , get a real charger so you can charge them one at time and still have four hours to spare compared to that p.o.s

  • @Gman4g63 thaose mini batts only take about 20 mins. to charge idk where u got 4 hours

  • @keith179150 ot takes like four hours with the stock charger dumb shit get off the kids dick. good video

  • @origamiperson16 7cell? that sucks. i got lipos.

  • dumbass why are you asking if you already are charging it

  • im extreamly dissapointed with taraxxas's ship and repair time i wated for a month to get my waterproof esc back so if you break a part its worth buying a replacement until the one gets replaced or repared and sent back to you then just retern the replacenent 1 you bought.

  • how long does it take to charge one battery with the stock charger?

  • NEVER CHARGE BATTERIES IN THAT MANNER! seesh that is almost as bad of an idea as charging a LIPO with a NIMH charger.

  • ok here is some electronics information for ya.

when your running the series connector on 2 7.4v batteries you get 14.8v so to charge it that way you need a charger that will charge 14.8v and you need to double the amper hour of each battery so if it is a 1200mah bats you need a charger that will charge over 2400mah now if you run a parrallel connector you still need a charger over 2400mah or you will burn up the charger.

so for your answer the stock traxxas charger will NOT work with 2 batts.

  • @coriant oops i goofed with series you dont double your mah because your doubling the voltage so in series its 14.8v 1200mah parrallel its 7.4v 2400mah

  • everyone here that said you are ruinining it is a fuckin retarted shit head that dosnt't know anything about electronics. you didn't ruin anything they just wont charge that way unless you get the parellel connecter and then they will take twice as long as charging one battery

  • @madde78273 ya it didnt ruin them at all. what ruined them was the overheating it melted the batteries.

  • thanks for all the answers guys. i just bought another charger. but a couple days after that i overheated the dam thing. fried it, so traxxas sent me replacement parts in one week! thanks traxxas!

  • no u need a paralell connector

  • hey conrdulatiosyou just ruined to perffectly good batterys

  • if u get a charger that can take an 8 cell like the duratrax peek charger than its fine but other than that no and by the way the duratrax on is like 25 $

  • not at all

  • If you have to ask, the answer is probably no.

  • DONT DO IT!

  • naaaa... not a good idea i tried that and it didnt work ur better off just buying another cheap charger.

  • get a cheap vision peek 2 charger is $40 and worth it charges batteries in 20 minutes.

  • it´s not a good idea!

This churger is not for more (I think) than 7,2v !

Don´t do that, you can crash your churger!

  • i tried that it dosent work:(

  • hey the batteries have like a sort of (memory thing in them) so when u charge them it tends to want to keep that last charge it has so i wouldnt do it because the if the charger is made to only charge one it is gonna have to work to hard to try to charge both batteries and it will charge them both un-evenly which will defenatly ruin ur batteries

  • how long does it take to charge one battery

  • @dabysproductions in that thing like 6 hours which i think is insane. so the first thing i did is buy a new charger and asked traxxas how much these battteries should be charged at. they said 1.5 to 2 amps. so i charge mine at 2 amps and it takes about 40 mins which isnt as bad as 6 hours

  • You cannot do that with a series connector. You have to use the parallel connector to charge them at the same time. And also a better charger

  • its a bad idea, i was gonna do this to. if you plug in the charger connected to the 2 batteries, when its only designed to charge one at a time, one battery can get overcharged, and one can get undercharged, so please dont charge it agian, unless you want to buy a new battery, becasue sooner or later, thats whats gonna happen.

    thanks larry

  • no get a charger that can handel 12 cell and then u can do that

  • dumbass

  • bad bad bad (etc) i asked the question to traxxas tooo cause i also wanted to no and it is no beter not

  • The charger is not designed to charge 12 cells. It won't have enough power and will charge them to the wrong voltage, and ruin your packs. Either that or the charger will draw too high a currant and burn its self out.

Buy a better charger, one that can charge 2 packs at once. Then you won't have to wait for each pack to charge one by one.

  • No it will not charge and your not supossed to split the the power or it will just charge one battery

  • god no my you;re only giveing the batteries 3.6v instead of 7.2v ea that is ruin ur batteries very quickly.

  • you need parallel connectors those are series connectors

  • jep parralel leeds

  • Get a peak charger

  • if you used a parallel connector instead of a series connector it would work fine, it would just take twice as long as one pack. Using a series connector the pack will more than likely only charge about halfway.

    series = higher voltage

    parallel = more mah

  • fuck no your going to burn shit down

  • i did that and i dont they charge all the way they might if left on for a long time

  • dont call him a ass streets321 or I will tear you a new butthole

  • ABSOLUTELY NOT

  • yeah only do that with parrallel connectors u have the series so u will probably screw up your batteries

  • only in parallel i do it all the time... it just takes twice as long to charge

  • Dont do that, Thats not a good idea...you need a dual charger such as the Duratrax 240.

  • you need to spend some money buy a dual charger like the duratrax onyx 240 its $90 our buy 2 onyx 220 for $90 i like the 220 or the 230 the 220 you can charge from .1 amp to 5 amps the 230 is lipo charger

  • hey guys i just got this car and idk what to put on the charger settings! i dont know what to put por AMP and for the PEAK since my charger doesnt detect peak auto.. please help i dont want to mess up the batteries

  • Use only Paralel conector for this...

  • You wont get full charge on the batteries using that connecter, the wall charger only charges at something like 9 volts, not 14... using the parrallel connector is fine, but doesn't speed up the charging time at all. easiest thing is buy a peak charger, as they are alot better for the batteries as it won't overcharge them, or just charge one at a time.

  • Your not suppose to charge them like that! Thats a series connector! I think It would only be safe to charge them with a parallel connector. And seriously... Go buy a real charger. A peak charger is only 30-40 bucks.

  • fucking ass..you post a video wondering if they catch on fire? after your post it up?..your an ass for doing that with a wall charger #1.. and then with batteires that are not even traxxas or supported with that wall charger..buy a god dam charger, a real one and take the time to charge your batteirs properly..retards these days

  • I see you are already doing it, but don't it could cause a fire and problems with the batteries.

  • by duratrax onyx 240 charger it got dual charger lol.
