I believe this CAN/COULD be used as a resource when it comes to actual drums. It provides the feel and general/skeletal frame of the percussion parts within the song. I myself have been practicing this for a year, I'm still learning it, I probably will never achieve 100% on a real kit. But this is by far one of the most useful things to learn songs. RockBand... and obviously by Ear. XD
