@ beretep .. I must say that you are totally ignorant ! The lady is NOT Japanese.. she is a BAHE BENGALI or a RAJBANGSHI, as they are called in northern Bengal. They originate from the district of BIRBHUM and often perform on trains that cross BOLPUR, their district headquarters.

They are nomads .. and often go hungry. But it will not show on their faces when they are singing .. that's coz they are NOT singing for money .. but for a much higher cause.. that's because this what they are meant to!

I think that it is unlikely. Not because that you are wrong in your social analysis; but becasue, these are people of much higher quality then us. For them money, fame or hardship, all are same if they can't roam freely and sing. Unless laws(like that in last fundemantalist govt. in Bangladesh) prohibits them from singing, they will persist.
