  • Thanks for this video. I dont think my docs seem to understand that i need to be tapered off slowly. I've been on xanax and lexotanil for 13 years now.I tried quiting a few months back and it screwed me inside out! Your advice is realy good. I wish I could find a good doctor here in london to help me taper off with minimal withdrawal effects! If anyone does know, please let me know!

  • Its when I realized that it wasnt me that needed to be on med's "Including xanax", that I was finally able to stop using them. Its a long hard road of getting to know and understand yourself all over again.

  • Xanax withdrawal can cause a grand mal seizure and you can potentially die... I dont know how people can take xanax in the daytime?! You won't remember shit or be able to pay attention to anything... Ever try watching a movie or tv show on xanax? Its almost impossible to pay attention to it.

  • Ugh I hate Xanax my doctor put me on it because I was in so much pain and I couldn't even sleep he said it was anxiety attacks in the hospital and before I got therre, I hope I don't have to stay on them.

  • @0Brilwen0 I'm sorry to hear that. I can relate not wanting to take medication and sometimes because of the insurance industry people get put on pills rather than healthier alternatives like biofeedback, hypnosis, or therapy (occupational, as an example). My best advice is expressing to your doc you don't want to be dependent on drugs, pure and simple.

  • Xanax is a poison-pot is a cure...LEGALIZE A POT!

  • The only medication I take is my migraine meds and insulin.

Never ever take any psychological medication no matter how hard any PHD trys to push it on you. They do not tell you all that can go wrong with taking them as well as not informing you that some side effects can become permanent! Fight Pharma to win back the true goal of medicine, to cure not to treat.

  • Highly recommend neurofeeback I think I could not have had a safer means of getting off clonazapm/klonipin

  • LOL my first time taking Xanax was with my friend in school. He brought me 2 pills. I went to the bathroom and popped them and got sooooo dizzy in my Study Hall class. Ahhhh the good days mann. Those were great. The days I smoked weed and popped pills with friends. Ahhhh good times, good times.

  • I'll take the xanax off of you. I appreciate it. It helps me survive. No joke.

  • You don't need xanax to GET OFF.

  • Everyone who wants to get off benzos go to Benzobuddies org for great information and a way to connect to stories, people, and help that you need to get you through your benzo witthdrawal/taper experience. For those who think benzos are helping you, go there too--they are highly addictive and very dangerious!

  • Woman have so beautiful eyes when they take Xanax. 1 mg a day should be mandatory !!!!

  • The way I got off xanax (which in Australia doctors are working on making it much harder to obtain) was to transfer to a longer acting benzo, valium. I was taking about 10-12mg per day for a few months- it gradually increased from 4mg and when I stopped I would have seizures, be emotionally wrecked, crying, anxiety attacks, paranoia. It was truly awful. I have been to detox so I done what they did. I had about a week of no sleep but with DVDs, valerian, valium (held by a straight friend) I am ok

  • well the dumbass doctors didnt know what caused it so two yrs pass' by yes i said 2 YEARS (ughhh) and they give us some thought of maybe why it happend.

    -Medications (side effects)

    -Loss of sleep

    -Neck pain (servere)

    -Stress

well my moms not an epileptic so what else could it be?...the xanax and when i had said tht the doctors where finding studies about it and it turns out tht it was frm that or stress. so just be careful about your meds u take bcuz you know docs they dont give a damn..

  • @OriginialSnooks petite mal seizures can be a one-time event (I'm assuming that's what happened, seems the most plausible) triggered by all those things. Someone doesn't have to be epileptic to have a seizure. If your mother would still like to get off of those meds without the excruciating effects, google "xanax tapering schedule". Hope that helps : )

  • @shalindriaharam shes already off it..

  • my mom was on this and she "attempted" to quit cold turkey becuase im only 13 and ya know i have to get around with my moms help of like driving to school events and stuff becuase my mom is a single parent...so who else do take me to these events and stuff? ya know and so she tried to quick cold turkey but after mabey 3 wks of getting of it she had a seizure with me at home it was the most frightening expirence of my life so then when we arrvied at the hospital she had 2 more...

  • @OriginialSnooks I'm sorry to hear she had a seizure. When coming off of these meds it has been shown that tapering (cutting out a little at a time) is far more successful than quitting cold turkey. If someone who has been on the meds a long time quits cold turkey it can cause seizures. Xanax is sometimes used to treat the seizures that alcoholism creates. Also when going cold turkey the rebound anxiety is far worse.

  • eww

  • i was taking 16 mg a day , everyday, for 5 years. the withdrawals almost killed me. i aint going thru that shiit again

  • @judgerofwars How the hell did you take 16mg per day? I have been on Xanax about 5 yrs. I have never taken more then 2.0mg in one day. I am taking 1.0 to 1.5mg per day and I'm good with that. Someone I heard is up to 26mg per day. If I took that much I would be knocked out for 2 weeks or be with Michael Jackson. This is just an insane amount. How did you get to taking such a super high dose? Don't you sleep all day? I'm just curious cause if I take 2mg I'm pretty much sleeping most of the day.

  • Junkieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • I've been on klonopin for more than 10 years, 2mg a day. I'm addicted to it I must admit, but how would my life be without it?

I hate my job and my boss and my daily life is so stressful.

If it wasn't for clonazepan I think I'd be totally addicted to alcohol or something alike.

Of course maybe the best of all would be just look for another job, but we all know that's not such an easy issue nowadays.

  • I feel you dude, I got fired after six years at the same place for refusing to break the law. I refused 3 times and ended up winning against them in court. I am starting another job in a few months, but yeah I know it's not easy.

The reason I'm getting off is that I'm a nature enthusiast and I am afraid of just not having access to meds. I've been out in the woods for days by myself, I wouldn't want to have a seizure out there. I'm down to 1 mg a day now, hope to be off by my birthday.

  • smoke weed

  • I am tapering off clonazepam...I don't think I can make it...please help!!!!

  • @EndOpressionSession dont try to quit clonzepam on your own. it;s dangerous. you have to go to a rehab place. you have to withdrawal under the supervision of a doctor,. goog luck

  • @judgerofwars Actually, I've been doing amazingly well (knock on wood!), on my own. Switched to diazepam 10mg from 5mg of clonazepam in the matter of 3 months. Now I'm just on 10mgS of diazepam. SEROQUEL helps A LOT! It makes you sleep and it prevents seizures!

  • LOL this bitch is still on the xanax shes messing up her sentances and shiat.

  • i've been on xanax for 10 years, it's impossible to get off of

  • I tapered down from my 4mgs (2 bars) of xanax to nothing in 6 months with MINIMAL!(nearly NO!! discomfort!) and I basically want to help others after I went through a living HELL!! I came off 90mgs of animorph (morphine tabs) at the same time! If anyone wants a FULLPROOF individual plan for coming off opiates and benzos! Let me know via pm. And if your honest about what your on, I will get you clean using my method, MAIN THING IS!! I will always be there for you while your coming off! pm me

  • you are super hot hot hott

  • How can I come off Xanax 4mg a day?!! I am

Also on methadone. 45mg per day. I really wish to get rid of the Xanax as I get nervous often! And have a twitchy right eye when I dnt take them!advice please???or links

  • @australiandj I'll PM ya

  • @australiandj Hey dude. You should seek for helt man. I ate 6mg oer day for 4.5 years. Flipped big and they put me in this hardcore detox with diazepam for 6 days. from something to zero in 6 days! Today is day 18 since i got out from there and i have´nt touched a pill. You will feel like shit. But it´s not dangerous. It´s better to jump of like that then to try to step it out like i have tried a f*ing hundred times.

I have a couple of bars laying in my kitchen just in "case". But nooooo!

  • @australiandj I'ts hell as you well know! I was on 30 mg of Methadone & Ativan (just like Xanax) & had a week cold turkey/hell with methadone, but the Benzo (Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin - all short acting hypnotics) can take months (6 to 18) go get past. Got screwed, as I volunteered to get of post spinal surg Morphine & benzos at the same time. When I told my Dr about my detox, he essentially refused to put me back on them (only six day taper after 7 years/high dose). Slo taper! benzobuddiesdotcom

  • @australiandj wow 4 mg? like are you nuts? AND another 45 of methadone? I feel so bad for you for whatever the cause is taht you are taking these bc that's a lot

  • I love window sill xanax chats.

  • Babe, I liek your Gettting Off! Lulz xD

  • had a seizure while driving due to withdrawl of xanax on saturday. went in reverse through 4 lanes of traffic without even knowing it. I almost died. Im getting off of it and starting weed, fuck the law.

  • Im so glad you got off that shit, its not needed and it can make things worse.

  • Well there is always Canada babe if yer country does not pull it's shit together with the health care bill, lol!

  • yeah man, it helped me but getting off is wretched. I knew what I was getting myself into, and I was hoping to see some stuff in the new healthcare bill that would at least provide some education/information about medicine. I have been prescribed antibiotics over the years, and not one doc mentioned taking acidophollus with it to prevent the overgrowth of yeast. I think a few minutes of education would go a long way in this country.
