good. I love how the actually draw out the scenes like where Nanami, Riou, and Pilika are waiting for Jowy. And the animation here does look clean-- even if the events in the depiction seem a little inaccurate. Nevertheless, its just an intro. The actual story hasn't had any real contradictions from what I can see.

I gotta say... I enjoyed watching the fight scenes. Most animes have those high-flying fights. Nash seems to take to that crap too, but I absolutely loved watching

Even in Suikogaiden Vol1. Riou & Jowy never fight like this, Except their last reunion on Tenzan Pass, but it doesn't look like this 0:45-0:46. Why did Suikogaiden made this fake fight?

Well.... They did fight in the end. And Jowy is the one aggressing the fight with Riou trying to defend himself. So it could be the last fight they have. But, I don't believe they did it in a forest setting. It was by a cliff I thought.

From what I've read of this, Nash is pretty uninteresting. His only purpose is to bump into the many other characters and give them screen time-- which is cool with me. I mean, they are some damn good characters. And the art's really

@Str8Murder I have read Suikogaiden I & II, and I know the last fight of course I have finish Suikoden 1 & 2 with good endings. And yes not in the Forest. Tenzan Pass Doesn't look like Forest and watch this 0:56 - 0:57 he didn't hit Riou like that and Nanami was there.

I can't stop overthinking Seed and Culgan's swordsmanship. I think they decided "Hey, I'll fight like you, and you fight like me for this scene!" Seed's hilt is long for fighting two handed and he's the wreckless offensive one, while Culgan's sword is one handed and he is the defensive one, but he lunges in while Seed takes a backseat fencing. What in the world!?

That defensive stance of Seed's is pretty much what I saw as trying to unbalance Nash, who's an amazing judge of swordsmanship. Both characters trading attack styles could have worked if Nash was stupid.

That's Nash, the main character of this game. You won't find him in Suikoden II, though, as he's doing stuff behind the scenes.

Suikogaiden 1 is around the time of Suikoden 2, Nash, as Presaea said, was doing stuffs behind the scene. I think one of them is the assasination of Riou(suikoden 2 hero). If you play this game, you will finally understand how Sierra was able to help Riou against Neclord. Oh..you can play Nash in Suikoden 3.

The only Suikoden Hero that doesn't hold a True Rune. Riou, McDohl, Flam Champion, Lazlo and Frayjadour were all true rune holders. Nash was in S3 if I'm not mistaken.

Not true. Fray didn't hold a True Rune. The Dawn rune was NOT a True Rune. And if the Bright Shield Rune from Riou is a REAL True one is still debatable since Bright Shield and Black Sword form the Rune of Beginning, which is a True Rune. But thisn't isn a Suikoden board here so I guess it doesn't matter.

And yeah Nash was in Suikoden III and, apparantely, married to a certain vampire lady. Poor bastard XD

The Bright Shield and Black Sword are children of the Rune of Beginning meaning they are True Runes... Unlike Pale Gate and Blue Gate, which are the children of the TR's children. I think the Dawn is a True Rune because its a child of the Sun Rune as well as the Twilight Rune.

Actually it is say that the Dawn Rune and the Twilight Rune were created after the Sun Rune split with the Rune of Night (Star Dragon Sword anyone?) but thats just pure speculation. And besides for true runes the Dawn and Twilight rune seperately were pretty weak compared to let's say the Star Rune from Zerase or the Soul Eater (but ok THAT one's an overkill in itself)

Seed and Culgan find Nash and he is forced to fight the two of them. He uses Groß Fluß and poisons Seed. Culgan does gain the upper hand and gains the antidote for the poison from Nash. Nash passes out in the forests of Greenhill.
