splurgeonkittens, Aston owns Lagonda (Its best to look at Lagonda as a seperate marque to Aston) and Ford owns about 8% of Aston Martin. not really what you call Ford owned. Basically, Ford has sold it.
it looks like the new ford explorer rear ended a vanquish. but then again i think ford still owns them so this would make sense in thier own little world.

The designers have taken the best bit out of all different cars and have squashed it into 1 concept. The outcome is disastrous. You can see elements of bentley boot, Landrover font end and chrysler 300 wagon profile.

wow the designer was bored and looked at a brick for inspiration. lagonda is about sleek racing heritage. what a stupid design and looks like a cheaper toyota type car. no wonder car makers are failing.
you see... at first i thought it was terrible looking too, but then i saw the bmw x6 and nissan qazano.. they really beat the lagonda in the coupes on bull testosterone ugliness contest...
Let's not forget this is a concept model. However when you see other manufacturers begin to take note of this bold design you will understand why Lagonda are the at forefront of design. It will have an impression on the 'others' and they will all try and follow suite, you just watch.
The front looks like it should be a truck front end. The first Lagonda's looked like some one designed them in their back yard. Very home made looking. The seats in this one looked like a bassinet and a child car seat. Remember this is India. There they hang tacky bangles on everything inc their cars. Sooo tacky
I wonder if the high performance version will be called CURRY IN A HURRY.
looks terrible... although to be fair the panamera isn't all that much of a looker... still way ahead of this monstrosity. looks like a cross between a kia Soul and a Chrysler 300.
if I was looking for this segment... i'd be giving my money to Maserati for a quattroporte HANDS DOWN. or I,d wait for the audi A7 and save myself a few bucks.
This thing is Aston Martin's interpretation of the 2009 Infiniti FX only that this Aston Concept is even more uglier! A wider, bigger grill and sleeker headlights and tailights that ressemble the FX in ways that the X6 never dreamed of! Every car company has just lost their originality in design, what is wrong with car makers these days?
Absolute rubbish ;-( The designers at Aston/Ford should be embarrassed. It's no wonder that Ford and the small luxury marques are in trouble. Who in their right mind would buy this ugly, overdone behemoth piece of shit- other than a rapper, footballer or perhaps David Beckham. Even they wouldn't drive it unless it were given to them for free promotional purposes. AM/Ford should have left it alone as the funky, quirky luxury boat from the 70's that it was.
Dreadful design. Boorishly arrogant yet not at all iconic, this is obviously aimed at the American market and ends up inelegantly disproportionate and unnecessarily heavy. Good for the Harlem bling boys but hardly a gentleman's motor car.
I think if they made it a smaller size, gave it a lower stance and made it a coupe it would look pretty sweet, but how it is now its just to big for its design.
the design name it looks like bentlty, rear window its too small, rear view it looks like sick ugly alien, rear lights its kinda cool but it doesnt give a combination design, front and side view is futuristic but the back view is classic, front seat it looks gay, feminine type...

Definitely interesting. I appreciate Aston Martin going out on a limb and doing something different as did Porsche w/ the Panamera. I think the average eye will take some time adjusting to these new shapes, though. It's about time car designers started breaking the mold. There is only so much leather, wood & speed you can put into a car. Bravo, Aston Martin, for the bold move.
What were they thinking? That's disgusting! Unfortunately, there are plenty of wealthy, tasteless, twats out there who would buy it just because of the badge.
well, we are all having our say about how ugly it is. do we think they'll read our comments? if so will they take a blind bit of notice? how dare they put a Lagonda badge on such a monstrosity?
this is how premium car manufacturers sell to Americans though, take one of their production engines that have enough powertrain for a fatty truck 2000+ kg, give it all wheel drive, make it horrendously ugly and boom their demographic range suddenly goes out of the chart. Americans love their SUV's lol.

Amazing. Amazing that it even got off the drawing board, let alone got passed by committee and then built, and amazing the have the brass face to show it in public. Bad taste. Truly ugly. Did anyone applaud when it was unveiled?
ok peeps, history lesson time. lagonda was it's own companie till the 40's when aston martin bought it. they then made a few models under the name, like the aston martin sedan "lagonda" and the rapide, wich was a wierd wagon looking thing; much like this atrocity. now tada! you learned something new :) seriously though check out the rapide. the similarities are kinda there, but my goodness this thing is ugly.
