Granholm stepped up to the plate for Michigan. Later during this discussion SC and MN said that they MAY not take all of the money (obvious rep political bs) and she said I hope they don't and "I'll be first in line to get that money for Michigan".

These Rep Gov's are full of shit. They're going to take the money and go home and say that THEY fought to get their state that money and in reality they voted against it. GOOD JOB GRANHOLM.

Residents of states like South Carolina can't see why tax dollars should be used to bail out Michigan companies like the Big 3. If that's the case, Michigan residents should bitch about the tax money that's used to repair South Carolina when it's ravaged by fucking hurricanes.

I'm glad we have a leader like Jennifer since we are the only region in the country that people are actually rooting for to fail. I am living in south carolina and Sanford is my governor too. He is putting politics over the people. South Carolina has the third highest unemployment in the nation. He is playing Russian roulette with his political career. If the stimulus package works, and he refuses the money and south carolina does not grow, he is done.

The Republicans and Fox News are clueless about anything that has to do with honest work and creating something of value, as are these Republican governors. They clearly are lying when they say the UAW has not made concessions.

When GM is finally forced into bankruptcy by these bleating ignorant fools in suits, sitting on their fat asses in TV studios, there will be economic hell to pay. Third world, here we come.

I am a conservative, and party labels mean nothing to me.

But I am with Governor Granholm on this one. I am sorry Republicans, if you want to see auto industry crash and burn, good, then prepare to be thrown out of office.

I trust Governor Granholm who is hard to be bought off unlike the Mayor of Detroit (one of the reasons I never call myself Democrat), and while auto union wages need to be slashed bit more, we cannot let them and their suppliers go bankrupt.

Since when shouldn't auto workers get the health care and pensions that they contributed to and that the company signed a contract to provide?

Tell Governor Pawlenty that he should take a 50% pay cut and see how that feels.

My blood is boiling after watching this segment and the wrongheaded thinking of Republicans. Why do they want to be so unpatriotic as to think Americans shouldn't earn good wages, have access to health care and a decent pension to live on during their golden years.
