I am a big fan of TMoE. This was okay but I hated hearing all the "audience talk" in the background..totally rude! There is an excellent live version of this song on NPR All Songs Considered. He has a full concert that was recorded in DC this past Oct...absolutely awesome!! TMoE is said to the new Dylan..I am a Dyalan fan; saw him mult time in the 70s...I agree. As far as performance and voice goes; as lyricist yet to be known. This is not his; but he has written some great songs.
@dlmaddox1 i found one on limewire; however it sounds like he sat down and pretty much recorded a one-take... there are some miscellaneous noises in the beginning and the song doesnt really start til about a minute in but its still good as is everything else this guy has ever touched.
One of the greatest songs ever written. Jackson Browne is a timeless poet/songwriter with a beautiful voice and plays every guitar under the sun excellently. This guy's cover is good/different. He is obviously influenced by Tom Waits. Everyone should sing/cover this amazing song. It is a timeless song.
I stopped my rambling I don't do too much gambling these days These days- These days I seem to think a lot About all these many changes have came my way And I wonder if I'd ever see another highway I had a lover I don't think I'd risk another these days These days and if I seem to be afraid To live the life I have made in song Well It's just that I've been losing, for so long I've stopped my dreaming I won't do too much scheming these days
What guitar he use ?

"Much better live"? Woah. This man has so much talent and in my opinion every song he plays is amazing. Live or not. :)

I understand wanting to be loyal fans, but this is a terrible cover.
One of the worst I've heard.

she probably means "in person". this is just a crappy recording of a live performance.

@brooklynheathen No I mean a girl in the video says that. Not a comment.

Why does the girl say "Much better live" when I've never found a studio version of this song by him?

Written by Jackson browne. Best performed by Nico, she had the sadness.

These Days-
These days I sit on cornerstones
And count the time in quarter tones to ten
Please don't confront me with my failures
I have not forgotten them

I'd been out walking
I don't do too much talking these days
These days-
These days I seem to think a lot
About all the things I forgot to do
And all the times I had the chance to

I hope we all know this tune is by Jackson Browne. Tallest Man tends to play quite a few covers. Gregg Allman still does the best version of this.
TeenieHodges 3 years ago
not to mention Browne was only 16 when he wrote it
TheFred1313 2 years ago 4
Disagree. Nothing is better than the original version by Jackson Browne.
