Professor Darshan Singhs views changed after his torture by Indian Govt. Our Guru is only Guru Granth Sahib ji. But i love and respect Dasam Granth because it was written by Guru Govbind Singh ji. Who is Professor Darshan singh to say it is not , why did not Baba Deep singh , Bhai Mani Singh , Sant Attar Singh, Sant Baba Nand Singh etc not criticise Dasam Granth. Who is Darshan to think he know better,.

Can some one give me an understanding of what is going in in the lecture. I dont speak punjabi but would be interested in knowing what he is arguing for or against. My understanding is the Dasam Granth was written by Guru Gobind Singh but is not considered the eternal guru like the SGGS. From some peoples comments its sounds like he is making this case but other comments allude to the Prof. not believing Guru Gobind Singh wrote them. Please enlighten me to the issue at hand in the lecture

How can he say that? Dasam Granth ARE the writings of Guru Gobind Singh Jee so therefore should be EQUAL AND he hasnt said he believes in them other gods BUT said that he knows of their existence. So sort yourself out no wonder your excommunicated from the panth.

The whole arguement is if Dasam Granth is made by Guru Gobind Singh ji. Second, Guru Hargobind Sahib ji, Guru Har Rai Sahib ji and Guru Gobind Singh ji all were fighting against mughals. I forgot what they were called. But, for example, Guru TeghBahadur ji was a civilized person, and his bani was in Guru Granth Sahib ji.

Could Guru Gobind Singh write such stories and such stanzas which the readers would find in Chritropakhyan. Not only the Chritropakhyan, some parts in many other Chapters, such as Krishna Avatar are equally erotic. Could readers sit down with their wives, sisters,mothers and children and read aloud these tales? Most of them are epitome of degradation to womanhood. They are as pornographic as the present day adult movies.

Sri Guru Granth Sahib is for sikhs (humanity) and Sri Dasam Granth is for those Singhs that have gone to that extent and are the highest level where they only have kaam krodh lobh moh and hankaar left to battle, each bani in their has a message, each story; a moral.

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh PROPER MARYADA WHICH SAYs WE HAVE 5 AMRIT SANCHAR BANIS AND 3 OF THOSE FROM DASAM GRANTH. Effectivley you are making your own version of Amrit which is no longer amrit! in 1699 guru gobind singh sahib recited the panj baniya whilst making amrit those were the ingredients, so good luck with your deluxe version of amrit that you think iss better than guru sahibs!

Choupai, Kavi-o-vach has 405 couplets in Dasam Granth but in Gutkas only 397 to 405 no. couplets are given that too with numbering starting from number one. Sikhs should know who has changed it and why?

The granth was given different names at different times in the following order:

a) Bachittar Natak

B) Daswen Patshah ka Granth

c) Dasam Granth

d) Sri Dasam Granth

e) Sri Dasam Granth Sahib

f) Sri Dasam Guru Granth Sahib

These names are very misleading, and the pity is that these have not been given by any responsible and representative body, society, or the Panth as a whole, but just by individuals, small organizations or publishers.

My dear friend try to understand Prof Darshan Singh Sahib ji, It is not question of some one like(Dasam Granth)or not. Question is GURU IS ONE, no other, if today you have 2 gurus, tomorrow you will have more than 2 where you will stop.we are with prof sahib on this issue, On dasam granth he is absolutely right

We are lucky we have true preachers like Prof Darshan Singh at this age he is doing excellent job, May god bless him to keep it up strong stand on core issues of Sikhs
