Guild Wars Paragon PvE Non-Imbagon P/R

i like to use "heal as one", it allows me to have more skills :) this one looks rather nice ^^

I've used a similar build to this one, I used Burning Refrain on my pet. Watch it jump in, and clumped groups are all on fire instantly. Making "They're On Fire" very effective. Like wise Mending Refrain and Finale of Restoration, make a great combo with this type of build. As Strike as One triggers as a shout on both yourself and your pet, so you can both reap the benefits of those skills.

This build doesn't really serve a purpose because...

Everybody with a pet can let his pet take the aggro, just target a foe within range and lock your pet on it (aggresive mode). The elite serves purpose, but not in pve (the elite's conditions are more pvp flavored). Also, this type of build serves rangers better due to general survivability and energy management which are better on rangers (they can spam energy attacks more and better)

@Kolp44 The most used ranger build in pve is Broad Head Arrow with splinter volley. It's ppb also the best one too generally. But my point was that there are better ranger builds (including better pet builds) out there for rangers, especially in pve. Teleporting pets are fun though, but I doubt they're all that good in pve. Especially if you don't have the points to put in beastmastery. Paragons have more to offer ;)

I still use this y'know. Actually just changed my pet to a black wolf, called it warwick and got massive CDR so I could ult in with him on every mob.

nice build. i like it if people make there own builds and i have no idea why so much people say paragon is noob and imba is the only good build for them, but i think they never play paragon or that they dont now how to use it . I also made a lot of other builds for my paragon and even my own paraway.

@J3IGO27 Change your secondary profession to Ranger, then talk to Pikin in Kamadan to get the skill. Good hunting!

Would you just keep on using skills 3, 1 (1, 1, 1, 1 [as you say in the vid]), 2, 7, 4 in that order for a mob? I get the approach to the battle, but I don't understand the battle continuation procedures.

Good question! You're exactly right on the order. (Skill 5, as I mention in the video description, is open for other options, so your order may change depending.)

So i've been watching your movies and it all started watching paraway, since then i used the build you ran in the underworld and i surprised my alliance in a Rhea's Crater Vanq. cause they thought i couldn't tank the elementalist boss.

Anyways, great build, i think i'm going to run it in PvE and im sure going to make my own builds too (Indeed PvX sucks :P).

I'd still try Oth-smts tm Cry *Can't spell the skill name*, Pet = Unblock-able + 24 AR, nice in HM. Nice build tho. And I've allways used P/R in RA and when i get the chanse to in CDX =) 13 Spear/9 Wilderness and 10 command, works wonders =).

hmmm if ur wanna play paragon anyway. dont use storm. waste of pve slot + u can't affor 10e skill on paragon. not wroth it. intresting build tho. wouldnt it b more efefctive on r/p tho?

hmm didnt read vid discr. btw expertise + high beast mastery beats paragon imo. ur only attack skill affected by primary paragon is ur 4th skill. + if u reply 3 times on ur own vid. ur prob drunk and u need to make another QQ / rant vid:D

Another reason I like para for this above ranger is the range of a spear... it ensures that your pet will always get aggro and you won't accidentally shoot off an arrow before your pet gets up there.

Lastly, I look at Expertise as energy savings rather than energy return. By that I mean, if you get energy drained as a para, it's easier to gain back your energy.

@VanZarko Absolutely. It's inexpensive, has no monthly fee, and will keep you entertained for well over a year if you get the expansions (even if you play everyday for 5 hours).

Yeah I found the Trilogy to buy all 3 games at once but the thing I didn't find in the retail store was the Eye of the North Expansion though :\ I'll check later after I at least buy the game itself though. ;)

Been messing around with this build that you've got and it works amazing. Also tried blazing finale in place of snowstorm and it works pretty well if your in shout range of your pet when you use go for the eyes.

great build! btw im coming up with a nice paragon prot build but i cant seem to get the theres nothing to fear skill. could some1 help me get it`? ive "unlocked" it and all but i cant add it to my build cz its nyt in my skill set. what should i do?

Hmmmmm, interesting issue. Make sure to scroll all the way down in your skill window to make sure it's not under the Sunspear Title Track skills. If it's not there, you'll need to clarify what you mean by "I've unlocked it".

ive looked at the ss skill track skills i hav and i only hav the ss rebirth signet. what i mean by "i've unlocked it" i had a paragon once (what i deleted) and i "bought" it on it but it didnt work then either and i cant find the skill anywhere anymore

Nice to see something from you again, and just something that could be useful; Strike as One can be used on allies to kind of 'pre-cast' it.

I'm not totally sure if the pet teleports in to the enemy as soon as you're in range or not though.
