A while back, I shared those prison statistics with a Christian friend of mine. Know what he said? He said they're inaccurate and invalid because "people facing prison will naturally claim to be Christian in hopes of getting leniency". WTF? I told him that even if the statistics are inaccurate by a FACTOR OF 40, per capita there are STILL fewer atheists in prison than Christians. He still dismisses it. A lifetime of delusion requires perpetual denial.

First off, they are my MUCH higher. Average IQ for white is 100, while for Asians, it is 106. Secondly, there is a general skew that exists since many asians that are tested are from afluent and intelligent immigrant families, which move to places of higher employment. Try running the same IQ test in rural China and see what you get.

Race and IQ are not that strongly correlated. Environment and demographic factors are larger.

@JN5B11: Being a member of a church in Europe does not have to do anything with being religious. ;) Many European countries got state churches that ppl are literally born into and many of us just don't care enough to bother and go to the court or whatever institution responsible to give back our club membership. *lol* The numbers that matter are surveys that ask people if they are religious or not.

@JN5B11: That's weird because the article on 'demografics of atheism' says 38% in the UK believe in a god, the rest in some force, nature or nothing at all so the stats in the video are pretty accurate even though I am sure they may vary slightly from survey to survey (and atheism increases quickly from year to year, too). The video kind of calls all non-theists atheists but I am okay with that because the point is the correlation between theism vs non-theism, violence vs. peace.

@JN5B11: The survey I am referring to is from the Eurobaromenter Poll from 2005 so since atheism is still growing I guess 74% might be pretty spot on by now. Said poll also confirmed that by now about 50% of Europeans don't believe in a god but in a life force, nature or nothing at all.

Atheism doesnt make you smarter, nor does the average intelligence of the group who follow being higher it make it more valid. hey, im in favor of the vid but something is not adding up. i went to the Barna page to confirm stats and they seem to be different than what u have on the vid. On their page it says "Thirty percent of atheists and agnostics had been married and subsequently divorced. Dude, these correlations are just awful... Reason crime rates are low, and education is high is because of the fact that these are 1st world countries that have a great infrastructure... Correlation does not equal causation... Just because there is a correlation between Ice Cream sales going up and Homicide does not mean Ice Cream causes Homicides... Also, there is no need for causing agent to be specifically identified because if a certain combination of ingredients obtains good results vs another, who cares about the intricacies of how!? @handom85 You misunderstood me, when I said I accept all faiths, it means I am willing to look at you for who you are overall, not by your faith. Bible says to love all, and I will do that. Well, would you like it if I were to say the U.S is declining in intelligence, and power as atheism prospers in it. I'm pretty sure our education system is much weaker then the past, not going to get any info, but we both know this is a common fact. But I doubt Atheism has to be the reason for it.

I've seen this video sometime ago, I can't remember them all), but this one is specific looked pretty interesting to me because supposedly the true christian "philosophy" is heavily against divorce. Religion may be for some a problem but is not the doctrine of Jesus what is wrong most likely is people that accomodates certain convinient statements to their advantages but what Jesus preached and what He came from Heaven to do is what makes many of us understand what God likes Christians to do, and atheists don't understand, only until they learn to Love God then they too will understand, not all are going to Heaven Not all are going to hell, but you won't understand that, will you?

@revowii Before you disbelieve anything make sure you use that fine-toothed comb on EVERYTHING before you accept it. If you truly look at popular cosmic event/origin of life theories objectively you can not help but begin to question them as well. EVERYONE should hold their beliefs or thoughts up to the light and really understand why it is that you believe whatever it is that you believe. Intelligent design IS a valid scientific theory and should be taken more seriously.

The reason why this statistic doesnt mean anything is because white people,higher ed, more $, less crime stats,better socio status, better nutrition, upbring/culture, lack of disadvantaged position, and about 30 others factors ALL correalate with being athiest, as well as being white.

@psford1 look at the data- Asians tend to have higher IQs than EVERYONE on average-MUCH higher. They are on top of every graph. White people are next, blacks are at the bottom. This is far better correalted with race than some beleif system, and even then interpretation is still inaccurate and evidence is largely inconclusive. Y make videos with miss interpreted statistics? That's not ethical at all.

@ikcjjtt Oh, no. I agree with what you're saying. I understand that atheists tend to be more intelligent. But, yeah, its definitely not them being atheist that makes them smarter. I think its just that the smarter you are the less likely you are to be believe in something that seems to disagree with science. I just dont like how vids ike this sometimes seem to imply that BECAUSE someone is atheist they are inherently more intelligent - thats certainly not true...
