This is a very interesting take on a tarana. What is generally sung in drut laya has been sung in a much slower laya. I did like the way nishad is taken in first line, good composition..thanks for uploading.
these files are recorded in live concerts.you can't prevent people from wah wahing in a live show.i don't have a software which helps me remove just that voice.can you suggest one?.you are much younger to me so i take the liberty to tell you please don't use such language.we all have our limitations right?i really appreciate your passion for music.keep appreciating.
Your points are all very well-taken. But there is something basic to which I wish to draw your attention: she is treating the tarana like a flat madhya laya meandering khayal which, I humbly submit, simply does not move with the energy that the tarana is supposed to spark.... Baat kuch bani nahin!
you mean to say when the drutta laya renders the music no more melodic and like most of the singers that go mad trying to show off their gimmickry than the swara? I think this is divine how she renders her music.
I've always heard a moderate and controlled drutta renditions by such names as: Kishori Amonikar, Veena Sahasrabudhe and Kaushiki Chakrabarty.
@tubeur000 I don't that. You mean that. Drut laya is drut laya. Those who can handle it well are musicians. Those who cannot, are not. Similarly, the khayal is a khayal and a tarana is a tarana. So is khayal-numa something that combines something of the two with its own rules and traditions. The point is the singer uses khayal ki aakaari and alap with taranay ke akshara. This, Sir, does not work for someone like yours humbly who has many many better performances from great masters and divas.
@tubeur000 Nor is this a matter of mere subjective judgement: It's not my artists are better than yours sort of nonsense. Please understand the logic: why does tarana use phrases like dhir dhir? So that you can easily build up a fast repetitive sequence of sounds. Now bung in a `aaaa' in between or at the end of these fast repetitive letters and what do you get? Dhir dhir aaaaaaaaaaaaaa dhir-dhir aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa or some such inelegant stuff.
there is an over enthusiastic male voice who keeps giving daads and wahs like every 3 seconds- probably trying to show off what he believes is his erudition in Classical gayaki. He spoils it for us listeners...hope he rots in H$%%%.....

This appears to be Yaman Kalyan and not Yaman. I thought I heard the distinctive M1 (Shuddha Madhyam).

@akhileshmagal I do agree with you, it is yaman kalyan , although the tanas she taken contains very little M1.
