- Showing the tiniest bit of blood is inappropriate for kids but having a world similiar to hell (i.e. Shadow Realm) is perfectly fine.
- Showing guns is inappropriate but having a rampaging demon attack a town is perfectly fine.
- The mildest swear word is inappropriate but the Seal of Orichalcos stealing your soul and feeding you to a giant monster (i.e. Great Leviathan) is perfectly fine.
But one thing we need to remember is that for everything they censor, there's bound to be a group of people that would complain had it not be censored. I mean don't get me wrong, 4kids sucks, but just keep that in mind from time-to-time.
Another thing to add on about the censorship. In One Piece, there is a character named Smoker, and he ALWAYS smokes 2 cigars. In the 4kids version, his name is Chaser and he doesn't smoke. However, they didn't edit out the smoke from the cigars.

I saw a fight scene between yusei and guards in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. 4kids put flashes in them so it is only implied yusei hit them. So apparently this is sending out a message: Violence is worse than seizures

@makedarkroses Cartoon Network doesn't do dubs they just air them. It's different shit buddy. And 4Kids dubbed it first and cut the first 143 episodes into 104 episodes. That's how much editing they did. FUNimation took over after 4Kids failed with it and did a better job. But they stopped for some reason...

Honestly, this rant is kinda crappy, but their right, but it's not just 4Kids, mainly it is tho... They should of used better examples, like how pokemon was censored out the ass, or how sailor moon's story line was changed, sure it was small things, but there was a lot of small things... America needs to have their own anime channel, so we can stop with all the censorship... There are plenty of different types of anime's to fill the time slots.

@metakight4 The English Kirby Dub is more superior because they *Obeyed* Sakurai's rule by making Kirby not talk where as the Japanese Dub broke his rule by making him say attack phrases. Any *True Anime Fan* will tell you that the version that disobeys the creator's wishes is always inferior, this is the main reason why the 4Kids dub of One Piece, Tokyo Mew Mew, and the DIC dub of Saint Seiya sucked and recieved so much critism, they didn't follow the Original creators wishes/rules.

shonen jump is also fucking up our manga/anime. they tried putting in rosarioZ+vampire for one chapter to preview it. and if u know it u know its crazy with panty shots and fanservice. so when a character leans over they made the skirt like twice as long. and if a character does a high kick(which the main character does alot) they put random kanji on the skirt and all over the page. their attempt was just a hige fail

How is 4kids racist for changing Blackface's color white? There's a ton of legitmate complaints, but you do realize that Blackface is a term asociated with ministrel shows, and was used to racially stereotype black people before it ended after the civil rights movements. It's associated with racsim nowadays, so they probably changed it just so they can avoid a Jynx situation again. They should have just edited him out instead of turn him white, but people would still call that racist.

If South Park was a Japanese Anime (hypothetically speaking, South Park is 100% American), and 4kids gets their hands on it this is how it will be like:

But what I really don't get is, why guys our age who grew up on Saban's and DIC's editing are menstruating over a newer company who does the same damn things they did. I completely agree! I just got done with episode 224 less than 30 minutes ago, sadly I decided to watch it dub since I don't really like anime about card games that much but I really like the rest of Yugioh so I figured I would watch it dub and I could space off wile still listening during the duels if I watched it in english. It was HORRIBLE (I HATE all the POINTLESS censoring) and I wish I watched it in sub but I don't wanna watch 224 episodes all over again so I guess that just sux for me T_T
