I am so thankful to the extraordinarily compassionate people who fought to save these amazing dogs and who worked hard to rehabilitate them. These dogs have so much love to give after the hell they have been through and showed that victims of dog fighting should be given a second chance. These dogs have such wonderful, unique personalities that enrich people's lives and to think they would not be alive today if not for people fighting to save them.

It's really nice to see how calm and trusting these dogs are with him. Ive seen dogs who have come from an abusive home and will freak out when someone new [or anyone] comes near them. I work at an SPCA & hate Vick. The only thing in the video that surprised me was the pinch collar on aretha. I would rather see a Gentle Leader or Halti instead. But it looks like these guys are doing wonderful work. I recommend reading material by Karen Pryor. She is wonderful at reabilitation through positive reinforcement training. Also working with clicker training if the dogs are food motivated would also help with any leash problems. Just a suggestion that might help you out.

Personally, I think a person's punishment should fit thier crime. MV for example, his punishment would be easy. Force him to fight some guy three times his strength to the death (Another dog fighter would do nicely) If they wont fight, put them in small cages, starve them, and beat them until they do. Pitbulls chew off baby's testicles in apartment
Murrieta, CA - Murrieta police say that two large pitbulls chewed off the testicles of a 6-month-old boy strapped in a baby carrier on Saturday.
Carrie McKinney left her child in a carrier on the floor in her friend's apartment.

Do you even know what happens in the process of dog fighting? Bait dogs are used to get the fighters into the fighting mood in the first place, since dogs don't fight like that naturally. They usually remove the bait dog's teeth so it can't fight back. Then they make the dogs fight against their will, and they usually kill the losing dog. And you support this?

I am so thankful to the extraordinarily compassionate people who fought to save these amazing dogs and who worked hard to rehabilitate them. These dogs have so much love to give after the hell they have been through and showed that victims of dog fighting should be given a second chance. These dogs have such wonderful, unique personalities that enrich people's lives and to think they would not be alive today if not for people fighting to save them.

It's really nice to see how calm and trusting these dogs are with him. Ive seen dogs who have come from an abusive home and will freak out when someone new [or anyone] comes near them. But with this guy, their like, "oh please give me a belly rub!" Its really really nice to see. These guys are amazing and as cheesy as this sounds, if there is a heaven, these guys have got a front row seat.

The most common argument I hear is: Their is NFL players who have killed human lives, with drinking and driving and guns. Those players have served less time then Michael Vick! Great argument idiot! maybe instead of questioning the sentence you should question our screwed up judicial system and also the reckless behavior of high profile people, who should know better then to act a fool. They should set an example for the youngsters that look up to them, not break the law in disgusting ways!

Look at how he cringes when they take him out of the cage, as if he's wondering what's about to happen to him, the way his head is constantly jerking this way and that, like he's anxiously waiting to find out what's about to happen. I work at an SPCA & hate Vick. The only thing in the video that surprised me was the pinch collar on aretha. I would rather see a Gentle Leader or Halti instead. But it looks like these guys are doing wonderful work. I recommend reading material by Karen Pryor. She is wonderful at reabilitation through positive reinforcement training. Also working with clicker training if the dogs are food motivated would also help with any leash problems. Just a suggestion that might help you out.

No names of the arrested have been released and this wasn't blown up in the media like the Mike Vick saga. WHY???

It DOES take more than a leash! That last bit was way off. That mentality is another reason why we have dog problems. People get a dog they neither have time or money for. The dogs suffer there too. There are too many people on welfare toting animals. IMHO

Personally, I think a person's punishment should fit thier crime. MV for example, his punishment would be easy. Force him to fight some guy three times his strength to the death (Another dog fighter would do nicely) If they wont fight, put them in small cages, starve them, and beat them until they do. I think if prisons worked more liek that, then people wouldn't do so many bad things.
