Being able to catch a punch on the ground and reverse position ruined this game for me. That, and the super simplified health bar system. Still fun for what it was, though.

I work at EB Games in New Zealand. And this morning I walked into work. And saw in our $20 and under sales table. I saw this game. And it was going for $4. Even though I don't have a PS2 anymore. I just wanted to grab it anyway for a collectors item. It made my day a bit happier. Haha.

for those of you who still own this; don't bother with take down defense or offense, just max out the ground game.

I personally combined Boxing, Muay Thai, and Judo, but that's just me. From boxing just various striking combos, from Muay Thai their infamous round house and knees, from Judo I think I took 6 kinds of chokes, the arm bar plus the Kimura.

the create a fighter feature was just plain awesome; I spent a total of 5 hours, across 7 days, just designing my guy. It was so cool to create a "new martial art" from the ground up.

this looks and feels more like an arcade game. UFC undisputed is more of a simulation of the sport.

Undisputed is no more of a simulation than this was. You can at least lose to leg kicks here. And your grappling defense here is more than "hold your hands out to the side".

Granted, Otsuka took a lot of damage beforehand, but there is actually some sort of animation for getting beat by a leg kick.

Yea I hope in the EA game or the new UFC one that they fix the lack of a dynamic game. I mean Undisputed is fun but there is like 3 kinds of fights they tried to make each one have some of the new things but I hope there laziness was just a result of it on a new console.

I played this game sure for couple of years man and still love it but now i don t play it because i have PS3 and UFC.But to this game was the best ever on PS2 form.I loved the submissions and the SURVIVAL MODE!!!!!In this game there are submissions that even in UFC UNDISPUTED not exist!!!!!
