well they vision this but all i seen in my vision of playing was a massive drop of subscribers on the fourth month when it came out. if it had something to do that was fun after 30 i would go back. 1-20 was fun and after it, it was go to city to city for quests
@phantomoto2 Im level 55 and the game is still amazing :P explore more, fight more. You dont HAVE to do quests (excluding campaign) Just get a feel for the game and enjoy it, dont view it as quest after quest :P

Where you can fight the other side and all. it was packed with soo many people but then they were all gone so everyone went back to their world and just sat and the game just stopped. The arena was empty and it was impossible to find more then 3 people per continent. It was depressing and its impossible for me to come back. I want to because i love assassins but i cant after that.
@phantomoto2 Lol dont worry, there are alot more people. They have had server merges and alot of people are there now. But yeah the arena is still empty xP but there are alot of people on both sides now. The only trouble is you gotta be on your toes because of the level 55s. And I agree assassins kick ass, but 1.9 update killed their power. A skill called "Remove Shock". Since assassins assasinate and stun to kill, that skill has pretty much has rid them of power, though they are still good.
So all of this WILL happen eventually? Taming animals, housing systems, swimming, graphics? Someone please answer. I'm deciding on whether or not i want to get Aion, but I only want it if all of this will really happen :(

@pyroteque This is the 3.0 update, we recently hit 2.5, the graphics shown in this video are on the game, we have a pet system too. So its only a matter of time before 3.0 comes in

@MrTechnova The funny thing about the games you mentions is that they're being designed/published by NCSoft. (Tera's design team consists of members assigned to develop Lineage III, but left NCSoft due to...I have no idea. ) In the end, NCSoft is going to be making the money either way. Say what you want, but putting all of that into an MMO is a lot of work. Yes, even if it was in it initially. We probably wouldn't have AION today if they were going to do that.
Missing the point that most assets, areas, an general mechaincs are already made/near enough completion since they just shown you it. Even ifs its entirly not realtime, the assets are there and there the most time consuming.
Aion is an incredible game. It's grindy, yeah, but I grew up grinding out to level 30 in Dragon Warrior for the NES, so it's no big deal to me. At least one of the things in this video *has* been implemented: the graphical update. It may not as been as extreme as the video implied, but the developers said they'd implement all these ideas, even if they had to tone them down. I've no problem with that. Companies/Government make promises all the time that they have to tone down in order to keep.

Apparently the aquatic element within Aion doesn't allow the submersion shown in this clip. I'm wondering if there are real-time weather-changing effects such as the snow affecting all of the landscape.

@pyroteque Yeah, because they couldn't release an expansion and make changes to how submersion works, right? Why are you asking all these questions, really? I'm not trying to be a smart-ass, but no, these things currently aren't in Aion. Obviously, they're being advertised as an upcoming addition to the game. The video shows a player taming a mount. Yes, taming mounts will be possible, but I doubt that such a mount would be permanent, and I'd imagine it would run off when you dismounted.
@Iovereband Imagining how mounts behave is pretty moot. As there aren't mounts, and this entire video is just imagining things that don't exist.

They already added the new graphics update yes there a few bug with shadows and the outline correction but it should be fix in 2.6 frm whats said. @JDogThrash There is a huge difference. But the bottomline of it, no gear chasing lol. Its a beautiful game now, it started out as a grind but now its revamped and is awesome. Ohh btw i was a huge WoW player myself, with a lvl 85 character but i converted and staying to this.

the trail that we can send you isn't very good. i sent one to a friend and he said it ended at level 9. you get your wings at 9, but he couldn't leave the starter area. to me, the game is only fun after you leave the starter area until level 25. that's when you find out how unfair the pvp is. do your research before you buy this game. don't believe the fanboys on utube. go to aions forums to see what everyone dislikes about the game. if you don't see anything that bothers you, buy it.
@HeliosTitan Honestly, PvP isn't unfair. You actually have to be good at it. Every class has a class that is hard for it and a class that is easy. They are balanced in there own way. I agree the trial is a complete waste of time. Once you buy the game and hit 35-55 it starts getting fun. Until then though it is kind of boring.
it IS unfair for new players. it doesn't matter how "good" you are, if you're fighting a twinked out veteran. what makes it stupid unfair, is that a 55 can kill a 25. i can understand why it's allowed during a fort raid, but all the time? how am i supposed to earn my pvp armor vs. all this bs? why would i pay $15 a month to deal with this bs? if i could fight people around my level to earn my armor, i'd have no problem with it. stupid forced pvp=dead game.
@HeliosTitan That is why there are more people in a place than just you. Of course if you are fighting someone and they are better than you then you will lose. I have fought and killed many twinks, they are hard but not impossible. And also they have that Homeland Defense Buff (I think that's what it's called.) But yeah anyway, PvP is harder than most games, if you don't like excitement out of randomly getting attacked and having to think quickly than go play WoW or Hello Kitty.

@HeliosTitan Honestly, I don't know how many servers are left, because I have more life then just Aion. I might come back after 2.5 I might not. I have never played Hello Kitty, and I don't think I ever will. I am not a twink I just know how to play the game. When I left Aion I was level 55 not level 45 with +15 PvP gear with Full accessories. I have normal instance gear and could still kill PvP geared people, I think I know what I'm talking about.

@HeliosTitan Did I ever say I was special? Nah. There are a lot of videos on youtube that show normal geared people kicking ass against others. They may one shot you, like I said before after 35 is when PvP gets fun. It's not just a random level 45 killing level 25s or some bullshit like that.
i've heard aion will have a new 10 day/ level 20 free trial starting today. it'll be alot better than the one they used to offer. he should be able to sign up and download it himself. hopefully the feedback from the new trial will force them to speed up the gathering and crafting process.

Looks cool, although all the people who complain about how blizzard never improves graphics, obviously don't have a decent video card. A game that uses this much multi-sampling and texture shaders is bound to crash easily or have really bad fps.

The graphics look the best ive ever seen in the MMO world, but for gods sake look how choppy it is! no way you would be able to do mass pvp wothout wither a server crash or severe lag. Im not sure my comp would be able to handle this.

@JDogThrash There is a huge difference. But the bottomline of it, no gear chasing lol. Its a beautiful game now, it started out as a grind but now its revamped and is awesome. Ohh btw i was a huge WoW player myself, with a lvl 85 character but i converted and staying to this.

2.5 is comign out the 25th of this month and they are working on the mounts and new class. Soooo Soon I hope :D

the trail that we can send you isn't very good. i sent one to a friend and he said it ended at level 9. you get your wings at 9, but he couldn't leave the starter area. to me, the game is only fun after you leave the starter area until level 25. that's when you find out how unfair the pvp is. do your research before you buy this game. don't believe the fanboys on utube. go to aions forums to see what everyone dislikes about the game. if you don't see anything that bothers you, buy it.

@HeliosTitan Honestly, PvP isn't unfair. You actually have to be good at it. Every class has a class that is hard for it and a class that is easy. They are balanced in there own way. I agree the trial is a complete waste of time. Once you buy the game and hit 35-55 it starts getting fun. Until then though it is kind of boring.

it IS unfair for new players. it doesn't matter how "good" you are, if you're fighting a twinked out veteran. what makes it stupid unfair, is that a 55 can kill a 25. i can understand why it's allowed during a fort raid, but all the time? how am i supposed to earn my pvp armor vs. all this bs? why would i pay $15 a month to deal with this bs? if i could fight people around my level to earn my armor, i'd have no problem with it. stupid forced pvp=dead game.

@HeliosTitan That is why there are more people in a place than just you. Of course if you are fighting someone and they are better than you then you will lose. I have fought and killed many twinks, they are hard but not impossible. And also they have that Homeland Defense Buff (I think that's what it's called.) But yeah anyway, PvP is harder than most games, if you don't like excitement out of randomly getting attacked and having to think quickly than go play WoW or Hello Kitty.

@HeliosTitan Honestly, I don't know how many servers are left, because I have more life then just Aion. I might come back after 2.5 I might not. I have never played Hello Kitty, and I don't think I ever will. I am not a twink I just know how to play the game. When I left Aion I was level 55 not level 45 with +15 PvP gear with Full accessories. I have normal instance gear and could still kill PvP geared people, I think I know what I'm talking about.

why is it people think that they're so special, like they're the only one's who can figure out how to play a video game? it's not rocket science. you're not as special as you think. they do 1 shot you, but i guess you're so skilled, they miss you, lol! they have 4 servers left, and are giving rewards for people to roll asmo. i was and asmo, maybe that's why i got griefed. they're going down the same road as aoc. aoc tried to fix their game, after it was too late.

it's kinda a shame. aoc is great pvp now, but it's so dead, you're lucky if you find a fight. aoc should get rid of hiding for every class, that would at least help make pvp happen more often. they punished griefers hard now, on aoc. i dobt what aion will ever do this, since there's no problem in korea. i don't play aion, and i don't care what happens to it. i just let people know, do your homework, before you buy this game.

i've heard aion will have a new 10 day/ level 20 free trial starting today. it'll be alot better than the one they used to offer. he should be able to sign up and download it himself. hopefully the feedback from the new trial will force them to speed up the gathering and crafting process.

guild wars is totally different type of online game, you cannot compare that too any other as pvp & pve are totally seperate. That is why games like aion/wow etc keep going, ppl like the idea of farming then all of a sudden its pvp time gogogo....guild wars is pretty good i must admit and 2 im sure will be better but no comparison too aion etc.

Guild Wars and Aion are both incredible games, but as you said, you can't compare them on the same level as they are different styles of MMOs. You made an implication that games that aren't like Aion die off, Guild Wars is far from dead, nor is it dying, you'll realize soon enough if you haven't already.

Looks cool, although all the people who complain about how blizzard never improves graphics, obviously don't have a decent video card. A game that uses this much multi-sampling and texture shaders is bound to crash easily or have really bad fps.

The graphics look the best ive ever seen in the MMO world, but for gods sake look how choppy it is! no way you would be able to do mass pvp wothout wither a server crash or severe lag. Im not sure my comp would be able to handle this.

@Pierrea5 it is the exact same as in WoW...control wise.....i played WoW for almost 6 years...and i quit as cata came out thinking i need to try something new, and i picked aion. Aion is an AMAZING game.... beautiful graphics... hardcore-fast-paces pvp....pve is not as strong as WoW's but is still okay....trust me you will love aion... say bye bye to expensive mounts and say HI to wings! ELYOS FTW!!!!!
