It Stands for service pack 2. Its an update for FSX that makes you capable of flying with people who have Acceleration without you having it.

@Simple4Play a good graphics card will help, but fsx is extremly cpu-bound so it's always better to have the best cpu you can afford, than look into graphics cards.

@onurBVieira shift + W. go into settings and then controls and then keycommands. then go down to retract fuel probe. the standard key command for that is ussually shift W but you can choose another button if you don't like shift W..

MAC is an acronym for Media Access Control two this is windows. he is running windows on his Mac. windows is an operating system. what your talking about is OS X not Mac. Mac is like Hp Gateway and custom built computers. orphix here is right bro, seriously. I used a g4 processor too and it sucked, but the new intel ones are a lot faster than the pc. XP still rocks solid and has some of the same multimedia software (like Adobe lol). but the others that I think you are talking about, the freeware stuff, that doesn't count dude. I also been using boot camp and windows runs faster on mac better than pc so yeah.

those FPS are pretty bad... but running anything with like bootcamp will lower the potential quality of the program.

also, you shouldnt disable your antivirus, just configure it properly and forward the correct ports.

You should disable the anti virus, otherwise it'll be scanning activity in the background.

FPS was smooth before using Fraps.

you DEFINETELY should install service pack 1, then install service pack 2.

You do have a dual core CPU, which is good.

if you have anti virus installed, disable it before flying.

Also Defrag your PC.

Disable The Windows Indexing Service on XP, double-click My Computer, right click on the drive you are interested in and select Properties. The option you want is at the bottom of the open window. Uncheck the box if you don't want the Indexing Service to index the disk.

Thanks, I use fraps which eats up the FPS, i usually get an average of 20fps. 15 in busy places. 30 at higher altitudes.

very nice.. but when i put my fps to unlimited the game start lagging :/ maybe i need the service pack 1 cuz i have a good dual core i think :P
