  • Actually, Ian Anderson sounds BLOODY BRILLIANT after a second listen. No excuses just brilliant.

  • A friend of mine and myself always say "I bet he's got lots of your records too" in other words, don't knock them, at least they're still doing it after all this time, there are very few people who sound the same forty years later. Why see it as a negative? I see it as a progression into a new era. Ask yourself if your music will be around in millions of households in forty years time. Thanks for posting this piece of musical brilliance and long live Jethro Tull and Ian Anderson.

  • have any of you people out there in record listening and live show land realised how hard it is to sing for many years and not take atoll on on one,s voice , I my self have been playing and singing for over fourty years, and it take,s a toll be thank full J T are still going , and give respect. all hail to Jethro Tull.

  • Thank you for posting this! This was a brilliant reworking of Aqualung, haunting and mesmerizing in concert. I was hoping a copy of this version of the song would show up somewhere. Wonderful. Now, if only Ian would put out a decent recording of it.

  • Don't it seem like Ian opens and closes his mouth by holding his jaw still and moving the rest of his head up and down?

  • What's with the naysayers here! First off, no offense to the poster (thanks for posting this) but this is a lousy quality recording. You simply cannot judge performance based on it. Ian is continually improving as a flute player 10 times better than he was for those Living in the Past ;) I actually think his voice has improved recently. At any rate we are lucky he is still playing out. It's like having Mozart in our midst...keep him as long as we can!

  • You must be kidding about Ian's voice. I've just listened to several Tull concerts, and he does not sound nearly as strong and powerful as he used to. You're not hearing the same voice I am. Something happened to his voice; I'm a big Tull fan, and I can tell the difference between then and now.

  • I said his flute playing is continually improving and implied his voice didn't sound as bad in this recording than some in the recent past. No doubt his voice has suffered the years of smoking and throat illness. I was merely suggesting the quality of this particular recording may make him sound worse than he does in person. I hate to hear people say he should hang it up because of his voice - he still has tons to offer musically.

  • you may with respect critisise the mans voice but before you do I recomend you sing for 3 hours per night for three or 4 days aweek for nearly forty yearys and see how much it take,s a toll. I know because I have, and now my voice has almost had it. thank you.

  • My favourite band. Listen to my "Wondrin´aloud" version.

  • This version is dreadful;and extremely boring compared to the original. Well done to Martin and Ian for gigging for 40 years but maybe it's time they bowed out gracefully. Ian could still tour solo doing the orchestral shows,as long as he doesn't sing!!

  • I fully agree. Ian needs to stop singing at once as his voice has been dreadful for the last 23 years. At least his flute playing is just as good as it ever was. Mind you though I'm not to keen on Ian's silly hat that he insists on always wearing these days.

  • Its Hard for me to Agree because i love tull but its true

  • Anyone have the violin score for this perchance??

  • i saw their last performance of their world tour in Ft myers florida. Great Show. Aqualing was done on an instrumental jass level but Martin Barre did plug in the heavy electric lick .Also great version of america dedicated to Keith emerson. Ian's flute playing is in top form/,

  • It was pretty much all electric when I saw them.

  • Tomorrow is the night .. Jethro Tull in montreal on a orchestra scene .. i wish its gonna good

  • The tour will be acoustic/electric.

I am going to see him in FL on Dec 14th at the BBMANN. I cannot wait

  • is the whole tour going to be orchestral?

  • No, only few events. the tour is acoustic.

  • LA RAJA

  • Thanks my friend, looking forward to the Dec 3, 2007 Hammerstein show!

  • I'll be there! :D

  • This is quite brilliant stuff, thanks again for uploading, sound is very good.

  • Thanks for posting.

  • Bella Mot!!!!
