  • THANK YOU! You break them down to conversation level. That's what I was looking for. FYI... if you use a microphone to speak in to, it would make the sound consistent with all your videos. :-)

  • you should have a podcast channel thingy

  • @xSadFacex , I like using youtube, it's easy to use :)

  • sadsushi! great job man lol knhom jol jit saj morn :P

  • A-kun

  • ok one minute buster, rofl, what the heck are you doing to this poor barang? You say "sak-moine", you write "saj-moine" what the heck??? I just double-checked with my Khmer spouse, I heard correctly....and yah I am married to a khmer and still learning, so lazy butt slow am I.

  • @westislandkev , It's pronounced saj-moine. You should go with what your wife says. I'm Cambodian-American, I've never been to Cambodia so my pronunciation might be a little off.

  • @SadSushi no worries, just having fun. I have noticed much regional accents while travelling around Cambodia and since I am learning it kinda confuses the heck outta me. Like I hear so many people say "attay" and so many others say "array" for "NO". But in restaurants in Phnom Penh, when I order chicken I pronounce sak-moine and beef sak-kho. Even in ur vid you are not pronouncing the "j", like in jewel, jazz or jump. Ur pronunciation sounds pretty good, the way you spelled it doesnt match?

  • @westislandkev the "j" in Saj-Moine is unaspirated that's why you don't hear the "j" sound like in jewel, jazz or jump. Khmer has a lot of sounds. According to the the world book of Guiness Record The Khmer alphabet has the largest alphabet in the world. The romanization is just a guide. I see it more as a crutch. Khmer is not a Latin base language so I would not recommend learning Khmer that way. You have a good ear for sound so I suggest listening rather than depending on the romanization.

  • @SadSushi thx, ur too kind. one day i will speak khmer at least ok. i plan on living their every winter in 10 yrs so i better put more effort into learning.

  • thank you for the lesson

  • @sreychnahmain , I like your name. lol
