I am glad Rep. McCotter is still in the House saying these things. Somebody has to be there to stand in that breach and keep on hammering away with the (un)common sense.

What an idiot. Cap and trade has nothing to do with taxing. It has nothing to do with increasing spending levels or the debt. it is a market based solution used to solve emission problems. The government has nothing has little to do with the program. Business is who makes money from the program not government. It is not radical; it is a moderate solution. How about some validation for your claims? Your claims are nothing but ideology. This man is too stupid to be president.
You are the idiot. Really. Taxation absolutely IS what the Crap and Tax bill is all about.
It is not only a radical imposition against business and our economy, but it is an ideological push for redistribution of wealth.
Once you read the bill yourself and come to realize you are completely wrong, you may sound rational. For now, you are a talking head spouting talking points.
You want to lecture me about reading the bill? It's clear you have not heeded your advice. The government doesn't collect any money from a cap and trade system. The allowances are sold to other companies not to the government. Since the government does not collect money, it is not a redistribution of wealth. How about forming a cogent argument without the rhetoric of Rush and Glenn Beck? It is clear you have no grasp of politics or public policy. Keep your conjecture to yourself.
As impressive as your use of the word conjecture in the proper context is, you are defending a policy that will drive the cost of business and energy sky high. It absolutely is redistribution of wealth in the same way affirmative action, War Against Poverty, and funding community organization groups is redistribution of wealth.
Taxation of the middle class and rich to fund feel-good, social justice programs that do nothing but exacerbate the problems that Democrats create or continue to enable.
The cap and trade system already established for SO2 brought down the levels of pollutants in the atmosphere and did not negatively affect business. There are no taxes on business or the middle class from the SO2 cap. The proposed CO2 cap isn't any different. Second, no money is taken from tax payers in order to support a specialized constituency, thus it cannot be a redistribution of wealth. Third, affirmative action only applies to governmental hiring and is irrelevant to this discussion.
Democrats fail to realize that there is oil or products from oil in so much of our manufacturing, plastics and stuff, its impossible to get off of oil, so the smart thing to do is encourage all kinds of new technology AND to drill in the united states so then we are independent forever
JimofAutin1 is right. We need a President who doesn't need a teleprompter to be brilliant. I would love to have a President who's just smart, logical, and straightforward as Thad McCotter.
he is running for president .... send links to all that you know who live in other states to let them know there is a choice for US president ...
