This is a remake. The original "Mickey and the Beanstalk" was part of a Disney feature, "Fun and Fancy Free." It was released in 1947 and there was also a Golden Big Book issued of the same title. Luanna Patten, who was making films with Bobby Driscoll at the time, and Edgar Bergen with Charlie McCarthy was also in it.

I 'm 22 years old and even until today like disney and Mickey and stuff for me this guy are immortal even after all this year I enjoy this kind of animation it's a pitty that today the Disney industry fall so bad now we only have Hannah Montana, Shake up, Zack and Cody and thing like that for me Disney is almost died because they forgot want the fans want those show wll kill Disney and that is just wrong.

Kind of sucks these cartoons are being forgotten by Disney, which is ironic because it was classics like this that made it big in the last century. Yet they rather air shows about spoiled rotten tween that rot the brains of anyone who watches them.

I love that there is some adult humor in this aswell as kids humor. Like at 6:57 where Donald screams "Shut up! I can't stand it!" and when Goofy spanks him in the crotch LOL If you look at 8:02 it looks like Mickey is "humping" Donald! Hilarious!!!!!!!!

I've always felt that Looney Tunes was funnier than Disney. But when it comes to storytelling, there's really no contest: Disney, all the way.

And this is definitely one of my favorite Disney cartoons! Donald is delightfully (though sometimes disturbingly) zany here!
