  • @maddyreid18

it is indeed. In the winter. In Los Alamos it snows starting in October/November and there is snow on the ground until late April or sometimes even May. It's freezing here...

  • always to see the good dark vampire stuff its refreshing and she did an amazing job in this. and the romance was refreshing and real

  • that sucks when you find oout your best friends a vampire and she wants to kill you

  • the way he found out she was a vampire was pretty dark and awesome.

in twilight she just uses Google to find out.

  • That part sounded alot like Twilight lolXD

  • "Are you a vampire..?"

"No, im just a kid with issues." x)

    Just kidding ! (:

    - good movie thoooo ! <33

  • Kodi bored me in this movie, everything seemed the same with him. Thank god for Chloe being fantastic and the movie being dark. Fuck you Twilight!

  • Seen them both. They both have their positive points. Now shut up fanboys.

  • I would hate be to 12 forever.. Maybe 19, that would be awesome.

  • @xDilutedx That's why it's forbidden to make one so young. She can't care for herself. She winds up being a danger to the entire community.

  • Let the right one in is so much better than this movie -.-

  • You should watch the "ORIGINAL MOVIE"

    youtube.com/watch?v=sZJUgsZ56vQ

  • remake didnt add owen visiting his father..

eat some now save somethig later lol

  • Sounds like the only people who don't like the remake is the Sweden's! You mad that Americans do it better? ;D

  • @dawg17o i have to agree...i am from France and i like the American version better =).

  • @dawg17o

HAHAHA u got that right they mad cause the American version got deliver romance perfectly while their got awkward child pornography scene.

  • @MaryMonsterKiddo BTW, u spelled two/2 wrong.

  • @EmilyBlack01 I am very very sorry that I'm from the Netherlands and I made a little mistake there, anyways thank you for noticing.

  • @MaryMonsterKiddo Your Welcome.

  • @EmilyBlack01 Wauv! Big deal..

  • @LatinTaco4u there is no child porn in the original.. wtf? (but it wouldn't surprise me if this version is better though)

  • @capedchameleon

did they or did they not show a clit shot of Elli with the scar? if that is not child porn than what is it then?

  • @LatinTaco4u Ew... I have no memory of that. :/

  • @LatinTaco4u Child pornography?? so, the picture of the nbapalm girl is also pornography just because she´s naked??

  • @LatinTaco4u *napalm

  • @LatinTaco4u BTW: Give some credit to the original. Without it the remake would´nt have come into existence (unless the makers read Swedish novels:S)

  • @Nekhet

First of all, the sweddish fans are the one talking shit about this movie first trying to point out it flaws so I return the favor *_<

Secondly, no, the maker of Let Me In didn't read the novel he JUST WHEN AND TALK TO THE WRITER HIMSELF. Hope that clear it up for u buddy *_<

  • @LatinTaco4u Hehe, well, the makers of the Swedish version did´nt just "talk" with the writer/author of the book. They used him as the scriptwriter... Buddy;)

  • @Nekhet

First of all when us grown folks say "talk" we mean discuss things . So Matt Reeves did in fact went over the script with the writer himself. So if anything this is approved by the witter himself but yet you Sweddish movie goers still talking shit about it. Calling it unoriginal, well guess what Sherlock it never claim to be, that is why it call a "REMAKE". Matt Reeves knows this, the fans know this, the writer of the book knows this. Everyone knows this except you Sweddish hardtards.

  • @LatinTaco4u Hmm... And here I thought you and I were having a nice friendly discussion about two films and their relation to each other. Did I ever claim that the remake was bad?? No, I did´nt: I just said that I think it´s important to give the original films some credit no matter how you like them. The same goes for cover songs: Give some credit to the original.

I did´nt know the author had himself approved of LMI, but I thank you for telling me:).

  • @Nekhet

Actually we are having a nice discussion, those harsh comments are for the haters not you. I don't like or hate the original, if people like it, fine, Im ok with that. But I can't say that for the LTROI fans since they troll this movie like it had killed their family or something.

Me and others just happen to like this version but according to the LTROI fans that a "SIN".

  • @LatinTaco4u Good thing we had that cleared up then:) And yes, some people can really be a pain in the ass when they are.... "defending", as they themselves might describe it, their, apparentely, favorite movie. I mean, come on: It´s not like the original film suddenly cease to exist, just because a remake was made. And besides; if they really should be mad at someone they should be mad at the producers who sold the rights to the American filmmakers.

  • @LatinTaco4u BTW: In a world swarmed with mediocre vampire flicks like Twilight and Vampire Diaries, it´s actually nice to see that Hollywood still are able to see a good script when it is presented to them:D

  • @LatinTaco4u

The girl is not a child, though. She's the oldest person in the story. I find it odd that she acts so sweet and childish in this movie despite that fact. The swedish version does that aspect of her better, in my opinion. And because of that, the romance becomes more realistic in that movie too, even though it's not as tasteful as it is in this one. I don't think that tastefulness is what this story is about, however. The original story is unpleasant and even disgusting at times.

  • if you people wish to see a true vampire watch hellsing ova for those who dont know of it

  • @SephirothgeneX7 fuck that shit, its an anime this movie is awesome.

  • I laughed hard because it reminded me of twilight.

  • i haven't seen the movie but the music sounds beautiful...

  • The only reason i was so exited to see this movie was because i just happen to watch the original last year. Had it not been for the original i dont think i would have had any interest in seeing anything movie about fucking vampires

  • I just finished the book, "Let the right one in" It was darker than the remake. The remake centered more on the relationship of the main characters. It was almost a romance movie. I'm watching the original movie tonight....alone!!!!! Mommy!!!!!!!!!

  • LOOOOOOL WHAT A COPYCATS!LIKE IN "TWILIGHT" -"HOW OLD ARE YOU EDWARD?" "I AM 17" "HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN 17" "A WHILE".EVERYTHING SAME -.-

  • @thevilkids um k no. Let Me In is a remake of the Swedish movie Let the Right One In which came out in October 2008, and it's based on a book from 2004. Twilight the movie came out in November 2008, and the book came out in 2005. so who's copying who?

  • Let the Right One In was great. Let Me In was great. if you want to bitch and moan about a remake, look what they're trying to do to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo... not sure im gonna see that remake... i'd like to express my amusement at all the ppl who are foaming at the mouth when they reply to my comments, bc it just makes me laugh. and btw, thanks for posting this clip.

  • the original seemed ehhh, but the reamke they seemed to be more emotions because the original i dont know if she is using him like she did with old guy or she does like oskar

  • gay hollywood remake of a great swedish movie. why are americans always ruining great stuff from europe? :/

the swedish one has lot more atmosphere and was much darker than this one. Of you like this, get the original. Anyways, this movie is great compared to other shit which is produced every year...

  • @DarkAbomination lol... u mad?

  • @utubebgay well... i am

  • @DarkAbomination samefag

  • @DarkAbomination if anything let me in is darker than LTROI, and it improves on it in every single way, stop trying to sound smart by saying the foreign one is better.

  • @jakebiomask

Perhaps it is so, but the original one (apart that the story had already been told) had that coldness, that sterile, apparently heartless look on life that surrounded all. It was like walking into the rotten roots of society, in its true colors, in its very skeleton. And, concluding, this dialogue was even more touching with the glass between them, as it pointed out that their respective alienation from the world and, maybe, each other, as well as from themselves, yes?

  • this is like a kid version of twilight nearly the same script too :L

  • @roe1999 was 19999 by chance the year you were born?

  • @roe1999 Are you serious? this movie is the opposite of twatlight.

  • I think when he runs away with her, he doesn't realize what he's setting himself up for. He will have to kill for her. Just like her previous companion did. He will have to hunt humans, kill them and drain them to provide blood for her. I don't think he's realized that yet. It will not be an easy life for him.

Unless maybe she turns him and then they can hunt together. Forever.

  • @sunnchilde that's the only problem i had with the remake. how is this little boy going to kill for her? won't people think it strange that two young children are always seen together without any adults? maybe i'm looking to far ahea.

  • the old guy is not her dad

  • Is it good?? x

  • is that Angie moretz?

  • edit: haha, i meant 4 not 3.

  • yes i'm a vampire but a perverted one

  • Best movie of all time

  • @Gymnast7Babe Agreed! I have already seen it twice. Everything was perfect...the photography, the music...the acting...the dialogue, etc. I don't know of two child actors that could have done better. Everything was perfectly understated. I loved it!!!!!!!!

  • @JetScreamerJr likewise. regardless of how you feel about the swedish original, this movie definitely merits it's own creation. loved it.

  • Twilight should see this movie and take notice. THIS is how a vampire love story is done!! =)

  • This movie was pretty good. Twilight is gay and I refuse to see it

  • Better than the original which I never thought I'd say and behind only There Will Be Blood and City Lights as my favourite and best films I've ever seen. The fact she is a vampire is trivial. This is a story about growing up, being alone and love. Hollywood doesn't do romance the only thing that had got close to City Lights for romantic moments/love story was Dawn and Tim in the UK's 'The Office' Until this came along. Everything is alluded too, you have your connotations and thats beautiful.

  • haha, she can't drink, smoke, have sex or see PG13 movies.. awhh the irony of being 12 for a long time, a miracle or an epic fail ? hmmm..

  • I just brought this movie, I'm gonna see it again

  • Wow little kid version of twilight

  • @shadowxtwin twilight is drivel. you obviously have no taste my friend.

  • @WhatiDoWhenBoredv2 i know huh!?

  • @WhatiDoWhenBoredv2 lol yeah, but not in the same sense as her.

  • @WhatiDoWhenBoredv2 haha its diffrent

  • @WhatiDoWhenBoredv2 i'll give it 10/4 stars.

  • Now this is a good vampire movie!! Thank God its not about a bunch of pussies who sparkle in the Sunshine. I loved how dark the movie was. 4 stars !!!

  • @3Djunkie1984 u should read the book!

  • @3Djunkie1984 30 days of night is better!

  • @3Djunkie1984 I know right? Vampires are supposed to be dark creatures of the night. and now all of a sudden, they sparkle

  • @3Djunkie1984 the movie did get 4 stars lol

  • @3Djunkie1984 Def a 'real' vampire movie

  • Just another vampire franchise. Move along ...

  • @GrimjawxRULES we pity you.

  • Thumbs up if you came from a Torrent site!!!!

  • twilight much? lol but still way cuter

  • it is not liketwilight but it is like vampire diaries

  • Comment removed

  • i know a little girl who looks just like her all the way down to a tooth its kind of scarry

  • next great star

  • Dude.. The original (the swedish one) is soooo much better. And I'm not saying this because I'm swedish, it's the truth. Why the hell did they change their names? It should be Eli and Oskar.. Stupid remake.

  • @thestarishere I strongly disagree, but it is your opinion to think that way of course. I have seen both films and prefer the remake mainly because I liked Abby and Owen better. I want to be careful not to down play the acting in the original, as I thought it was good, but I think the two kids in the remake did an incredible job in this film. Moreover, I liked the slight changes that Reeves implemented. I guess the whole argument is null, as it all boils down to opinion.

  • @thestarishere they were releasing in US, changed setting to US and made names sound 'more american'... i was skeptical myself, as i very much enjoyed the original. After seeing the remake, i submit that while the original needed no remaking, Let Me In is certainly worth considering as a totally seperate film. To say that it is stupid only shows off your ignorance. your lack of ability to get past your resentment is sad, since it's your loss.

  • @thestarishere Dude, can't they both be appreciated? If not for the remake, I don't think a lot of people would've seen the movie at all. In the states, it wasn't played heavily. Were those places mentioned in the book actual places in Sweden...the communities, towns, etc.?

  • i woud HIT that GIRL

    get it HIT GIRL

    ey ey

    no?

    ooh

  • I don't like the boy's actor. He seems too emotionless to me.

  • @AngelOfDarkness1311 You must remember this boy was messed up emotionally - folks going thru a divorce, father didn't have much interest in him, he had no friends, plus he was 12 yrs old.

  • AS WAS I SAYING FUCK FUCK FUCKITY FUCK FUCK FUCK

  • @chillychino1 congratulations. perhaps tomorrow you can learn a new word?

  • dammit ! the americans ruined such a beautifull beautifull movie : ( it was my favorite movie of all time . the most breathtaking thing i had ever seen. hollywood took a streaming shit all over it..... honestly that breaks my heart . i was so in love with the swedish original : (

  • @ihategordonstoun They ruined it? Have you not seen the re-make? If you have and still stand behind your comment, then you are merely spiteful that the movie was re-created. The original was a great piece of film, however, the re-make was also excellent. This is a rare case where Hollywood DID NOT butcher an original film. Much of the integrity of the original was maintained with few changes aside from the actors/actresses. In which I will boldly state. . . performed better.

  • @Bruinology Yes i have seen it actually. and i still stand behind my comment. its my opinon that a remake was not at all necesary and they sapped the integrity from the piece. i'm not spitefull i just dont understand why america needs to remake everything and stamp their names all over it.

  • @Bruinology I agree. I don't feel any climax watching the original. The strange thing is, we can hardly distinguish whether Eli had transformed or not in any given scenes..They didn't put in effort with makeup or effect.

Regarding the remake, I only see 3 things:

    1) Better story-telling

    2) Better makeup

    3) Better CG and techniques

    4) Better abilities to capture the intensity of emotions

  • love the film, incredible casts, the plot is beyond awesome, 11/10 just great, i dont know anything else to say....

  • I'd at least say I was 13. PG-13 FTW!

  • Think the American version is much better than the original. No comparison really....

  • Oh, just more sweeping sugar for those fat american hearts. And that disgusting soundtrack for those who didn't understand the "message" yet.

Juts the "new world", populated with the ancient one's rubbish...

So now they're the masters of the world, isn't it?

  • @lethalbro11 I looked it up and there's no official epilogue, yet. So technically you're wrong about the events afterwards. The writer said he had a specific ending in mind; a happier one like the ending you described. And that he may put out a 5-6 page epilogue within the next few years. But as of right now, none exist. I however, still like to think that books are a form of art and up to interpretation. Maybe the author envisions one ending, and the reader envisions an entirely different one.

  • So much better than Twilight,no doubt!

  • @jussara2851 of course shes a real vamp twilight doesnt have vampires lols

  • @lethalbro11 What epilogue? I read the book and there wasn't any epilogue.

  • @lethalbro11 what happens after they run away? it doesent say in the movie

  • The Original is better.

  • Just bought the book. Love it, cant wait to see the movie!

  • I saw the original Swedish movie. Can I watch this remake or is it very bad comparing to the original movie?

  • @eliseken92 it's absolutely shit! like an abortion from the original swedish movie. what has been seen, cannot be unseen!

  • @lordofutub

Ok, instead of spending money for a cinema ticket, I will put the DVD of the original in the DVD-player and watch the Swedish movie again:-)

  • @eliseken92 lina leandersson is prettier

  • @lordofutub you mad?

  • @eliseken92

sure u can. pretty much the same

  • @eliseken92 Trust me, don't listen to any extremist who bothers bashing this film. Let Me In is absolutely fantastic, a must see!

  • anyone who compares this to twilight is an idiot ! i read the book (which came before twilight might i add) and they say the exact lines in that scene !! i am a massive twilight fan but honestly don't compare the two - i've never seen the film but i know the books are amazing in two completely different ways !! not everything copies twilight you know !!

  • @ThoseCrimsonEyes Hmm, when I read the first sentence to your paragraph, I would have assumed you were a Twilight hater.

  • @AngelOfDarkness1311 i love twilight i just dont like the hype around it because people assume certain things about it and thats what annoys me

  • @ThoseCrimsonEyes Yeah, I sort of, kind of liked the Twilight books, and one movie (Eclipse). The characters are pretty great on their own, but the plot wasn't interesting enough to catch my eye, since I'm not a fan of those 'love stories'. Let the Right one in was epic though because it was a very unique vampire love story.

And a really big reason on why I dislike Twilight more than I used to, was because of the hype. All these crazed fans with their chatspeak, "OMG I LUV TWILITE!!!!" Bleck.

  • @AngelOfDarkness1311 have you read the book let me in its really good ? i saw the Swedish film version the other day and it was amazing and i get what you mean about twilight because i live in england and if you love twilight ,people assume you hate harry potter and all that and its ridiculous because i am a massive twilight fan but do you see me screaming rpatz is hotttt ? no because i hate the guy and ian somerhalder is way nicer - sorry just really really dont like hypes :)

  • But............we all need blood to live......she would have had to be specific with me.....o_O

  • Remakes like these make me feel a bit embarrassed on behalf on the US. XD I mean, seriously? Do you honestly have to remake every movie masterpiece just because they don't speak English? I don't know of a single European country that remakes American movies. Remakes like these are an insult to the original director and actors. At least we respect the creators, and use something very handy called "subtitles". The US should check that word up.

  • How long have you been seventeen?

    A while...

How long have you been twelve?

    A while... Lol xD

  • @ohmysquidmuffins I seriously LOL'd :D

  • i wish i was inlove with a vampire

  • Isn't she in the movie " Kick-Ass"?

  • @deathwolf4ever Yep.

  • @deathwolf4ever yes.

  • @deathwolf4ever yes she is. she's my role moel :) go chloe!!!!!

  • @deathwolf4ever she is

  • @deathwolf4ever Yes.

  • @deathwolf4ever not just kick-ass, but also diary of a wimpy kid :)

  • @deathwolf4ever Yep. And Diary of a Whimpy Kid, and I think...what was it...the poker house? I think that's what it was called. I'm not sure though.

  • @deathwolf4ever ooh yea SHES HIT GIRL

  • @deathwolf4ever Yeaa Nd The Guy Ihs From The Movie "The Road"
