I like your guys' new FLD Tours segment, but it needs more content. Tell us how it drives (from handling to amount of power to overall road comfort and quietness), MPG, interior aesthetics and build quality, etc. Come on FLD you can do better!
After watching a few of these FLDetours, I would equate them to getting a 10 second car review from a friend. Other than the bare essential information, it just makes me want to go read more about the car elsewhere (if that was the intention, I apologize). Perhaps cheeky rating system would make the segment more satisfying?

Well Actually the V8 Vantage is a 4.3L V8, the one you are mentioning is from the DB9, witch will make perfect sence to put it in cuz is from the same platform, and I think will lack power to compete with MB CLS or Audi A7

VW has more then one car with an inline 5, The Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon, also have inline 5's and if I am not mistaken, Volvo also has cars with an inline 5. You need to get out more.
The Veyron is W16. VW also makes W12 engines and used to make W8's for the Passat. I-5's were, I think, first seen in the Audi Quattro Coupe....if anyone knows different, please let me know!

??? Who's the fellow in the background? I thought the BMW X6, while not beautiful, is something real different. A proper "big car" unlike these crossover SUV machines. This newer deal looks to be ghastly in looks. I have my fears about RWD top-heavy vehicles. Another lovely Aston Martin. That P11 deal looks to be pretty promising. But to have it as an F430 competitor (and I love the F430) is a bit low for me. Best of luck to McLaren for making this car rock! Great show.
I don't see why everybody hates the way X6 looks. I've seen white X6 IRL, the whitest white I've ever seen and it was quite beautiful, a proper head turner. Not the mention the headlamps look like they're on fire when on.
Maybe people don't like it so much because it looks horrid from fender to fender. If anything, I've always regarded it a big car rather than just another SUV (let's can all the different acronyms people give their machines). In fact, I think of it a bit like a "car" racing the "Car" class of the Dakar Rally. A Dakar car for the road... with BMW DNA. Some even liken this to the AMC Eagle released between 1980 and 1988. Still, the X6 is not as terrible-looking as most make it out to be.
honda is a japanese company, so it is a japanese car. every major car company has manufacturing plants in other countries, it makes the shipping cost less. so it might might be made in America, but it is a japanese car. if you base the origin of a car on where it was built instead of where it was designed, then cars like the BMW Z4 are all american, but they're not, the Z4 is german.
thats a pretty good idea. i think they should rate individual things about the cars, such as performance, livability, aesthetic design, practicality, and other stuff, you get the idea. and then the car's overall rating.

Not exactly. The McLaren was never made to be the fastest car in the world it was made to be the best racing homologation car in the world. It was made to be the most raw, amazing TRACK CAR. It just so happened to be the fastest car ine the world, but never set out to be. I think they should go after the Zonda R, and Ferarri FXX. Those cars are more in the realm of a McLaren. Also the Veyron isn't the fast production car andmore not since summer of 08. its tha SSC Ultimate Aero.

thats a pretty good idea. i think they should rate individual things about the cars, such as performance, livability, aesthetic design, practicality, and other stuff, you get the idea. and then the car's overall rating.

The new Mclaren is going to be an F430 competitor? Shouldn't it be trying to go after the Bugatti Veyron to get it's "Fastest Car in the World" title back? :/

Not exactly. The McLaren was never made to be the fastest car in the world it was made to be the best racing homologation car in the world. It was made to be the most raw, amazing TRACK CAR. It just so happened to be the fastest car ine the world, but never set out to be. I think they should go after the Zonda R, and Ferarri FXX. Those cars are more in the realm of a McLaren. Also the Veyron isn't the fast production car andmore not since summer of 08. its tha SSC Ultimate Aero.

McLaren started with a dream to build the fastest production car. They used a naturally aspired V12. Now they go V8 and slow down? Shame.
With Veyron, Koenegsegg, and SCC going over 250 MPH, why can't they just continue the dream?
By the way, that guy in the back ruined the whole show. Way to go FLD. You failed!
