What breed is it? I have two, and one of mine is a teddy, and he doesnt have that neat and nice hair like my other one. They are complete opposites! But I've never seen a guinea pig that looks like your white one. So cute~

cool...i my hamsters used to do that when i called her...she used to come running to my hand without bitting...but right aafter she gave birth she just bite the crap out of me and it hurst so freaking bad....nice piggys thou..like the white one cuz it looks like it have wings...u should call him/her angel cuz its white and the fur on her/his back looks like wings...

I just use a soft clicking sound to talk to them--when cuddling with them, or in response to their chattering. They associate the sound with me, with attention, and of course with food (since I feed them), so they respond to it.
@tails744 That is easy. Just have their treats available and they will come every time. Soon you drop the treats and as long as you are using the same call they associate it with treats. Sort of the same how most will popcorn when they hear the bag of hay or pellets being crinkled. The GP is ruled by food!
that's so cute! My pigs will do that, but that's also the noise we make if we have food for them so when we do that and don't have food for them, they get pretty mad and will make a tonn of noise and chew on the bars of their cage until they get something to eat!
I trained my piggy to climb in and out of his cage on his own. He doesn't pee anywhere in the house, but leaves little "tictacs". They are easy to clean up so I don't mind. He is too cute to keep caged all the time..

Aw....What you can do to prevent that is put a handtowel down over the part where they walk up. I cover the ramp with the towel all the way into the cage so their cute little feet don't get caught...Heheh my guinea sqeaks about everytime I open the fridge..lol.

Yea, I bathe them. You need to give them a bath once a month. They look so cute when they are all wet and soggy, but they don't like it so I try to move as fast as I can. When I was getting my guinea pigs There where 3 guineas who where brothers and sisters, but then there was one guinea who was all alone.
I picked the on all alone and named her Moonlight. After a few months I noticed she was not, well, to happy. I went to the pet store and bought a baby guinea pig and named her Pumpkin. Moonlight dose not get along to well with pumpkin, but she does seem to be happier when Pumpkin is around. How did you get your guinea?
im thinkin of gettin a guinea pig but i only think i have room for 1, do u think i should get a bigger cage for two or just have one? im gettin different answers from every1 and im not sure :S
if your getting a guinea it is better to get two since they like to have a buddy around. For my guineas i got a ferret cage because the other cages were too small. if you have two guineas in such a small area they are more likely to become stressed and die. if there is one guinea pig alone in a cage at the pet store, or where ever you are getting it, it is ok to get a smaller cage, but be sure you get them out everyday because there can become depressed. the hate being alone =D

But make sure you dont have 2 boys or they will fight. And if you are going to get a boy and a girl then get the boy desexed, other wise one morning you will wake up with many more guinea pigs than planned!
hmmm it's a comon misconseption to think that just because you have two boys they'll fight. It just has to do with personalities. I have actually heard that females fight more.
Some guinea pigs can be litterbox trained, Sammy, but it's not easy work and not always successful. Generally, they do poo everywhere, yes, and sometimes when you're least expecting it--and if you aren't willing to deal with that, they probably aren't the pet for you.
They do...but they look like big tic tacs and are easy to clean up. Its not like dog poop that absorbs into the floor! If you are grossed out by anything about the piggys get a fish or something...my piggy is potty trained to pee in the cage, but poops everywhere. Just don't feed them right before you let them to run loose...That limits the little brown tic tacs.. ;)
