i dont know if this will help, but i'm 5'5' and 107. i was 104 two weeks ago but i started to eat two pieces of wheat bread covered in peanut butter with a big glass of milk, everyday for the past two weeks. this gives me about 600 xtra calories,( i really slather on the peanut butter, then roll the bread like a tortilla) and so far ive gained 3 pounds. my doc sez that this should be effective. guess we'll see.

Are you kidding me? This is a classic example of how theory doesn't always translate into reality! If you are a hard gainer, you need zero cardio, you should keep your weightlifting workouts to only 3 sessions per week--keep them short and brutal, you need simple rather than complex carbs (and lots of them), you need lots of fat (supplement with almonds, flax oil and fish oil), and you need a bit less protein than normal so that you can accomodate even more carbs! EAT MORE...EXERCISE LESS!!

I end up burning 2200 Calories a day and only eat about 1300 more-or-less everyday.
I've stayed at the same exact weight range for about 16 months now. Having a fast metabolism is good in some ways, but No, It's not Lucky, because it makes it Extremely hard to Eat more calories than you burn without clogging up your arteries within a week.

@monkeypoopoo000 my bad, when I said 70 I meant barbell not Dumb-bell 70's. (Which btw is now 80). Don't give up on the weight either, Muscle weights mroe then fat so you'll go up in weight eventually

Basically us people with the fast metabolism's just have to eat more than the average person in order to gain weight. Eat heavy but make sure you're eating healthy. No fast food, focus on Protein. I know it's hard, but it can be done if you're determined. Mass gaining protein shakes help. Hit up the Gym 4 to 5 days a week and focus strength and endurance. Working out is key because you want to put the weight on in a healthy way. Us fellas need to lift weights like a beast.

I gained 14 pounds in about 9 months. It's hard work but it can be done. What I find useful is a Wild Oat supplement - this helps your body absorb nutrients, calms your nerves and encourages healthy apetite. I also cut down cardio, which burns too many calories, and just do pilates and yoga twice a week to tone and strengthen. Also eat (quality)meat, fish, eggs, nuts, veggies, rye bread, wholemeal pasta and milk. Oh, and cut out the sugar - it is a poison which leaches nutrients from your body!

OMG, I completely understand you, I try to intake 3000 calories and thats hard, so i can only image what you have to go throw. My self and my family about the same amounts of foods, I usually eat a lot more then them, they gain weight but i dont. I might gain 1 pound after trying for weeks, but then i can loss that same pound in 1 or half a day WITH OUT EXERCIZE. Fat people just don't understand how easy they have it.
at 15 i was 6'1 130. at 19 i was 6'1 190. then after working a bakery job, i went down to 150. i am 160 now. its hard to keep the weight. i gained it through hard weight lifitng and eating extremely. and i mean upwards of 8,000 calories a day sometims !

This is sorta similar to my problem too. People don't really pick on me, but sometimes my friends will say something about how skinny i am. I don't feel comfortable in my colorguard uniform either because it's makes me look super skinny and i hate it. I can't gain weight for shit!!=D

Still not finished, When i look in the mirror, I am all mucsle, I work out & listen 2 PANTERA, DOWN, SJR so much. I became almost like Bruce Lee... Im not done yet, I have fought people who weighed over 200 lbs & have won... He could of been a bad fighter or 2 drunk, whatever he lost... I think when ur skinny u gain over time this hostility towards people who look better than us... I will NEVER make myself hate myself because of my apperance.. Instead i will build my own world, & i have been.. 2 get the hot girl when ur thin, all u have 2 do is either have lots of money or make her laugh until she pee's herself...

Holy SH*T..... I am 29 yrs old, I weigh 130lbs soak & wet.... My height is 5-7 5-8.... I hate not being able 2 gain weight... If someone said 2 me 2 gain 5 lbs or ur life is over, I guess i'm RIP... I have been thin my hole life.... I am extremlly strong 4 my size... Because of all the anger i have inside of me... I will tell every one out there who is thin.. I ALWAYS managed 2 get girls, HOT ass girls... So if anyone is insecure from there weight, its not about that.. I am proof...

Basically us people with the fast metabolism's just have to eat more than the average person in order to gain weight. Eat heavy but make sure you're eating healthy. No fast food, focus on Protein. I know it's hard, but it can be done if you're determined. Mass gaining protein shakes help. Hit up the Gym 4 to 5 days a week and focus strength and endurance. Working out is key because you want to put the weight on in a healthy way. Us fellas need to lift weights like a beast.

I am 15, and i only weigh 5 stone. Its not fair how all my friends are the perfect weight. I get called discusting at school because of how thin my legs are. They dont understand how difficult it is. If anyone has any useful tips about how to gain weight, please LET ME KNOW!

I gained 14 pounds in about 9 months. It's hard work but it can be done. What I find useful is a Wild Oat supplement - this helps your body absorb nutrients, calms your nerves and encourages healthy apetite. I also cut down cardio, which burns too many calories, and just do pilates and yoga twice a week to tone and strengthen. Also eat (quality)meat, fish, eggs, nuts, veggies, rye bread, wholemeal pasta and milk. Oh, and cut out the sugar - it is a poison which leaches nutrients from your body!

Seriously people saying Oh im skinny i need to gain weight its so hard!! It is MUCH harder to lose weight you have to exercise eat healthier eat less. You DONT have to exercise eat whatever and as much as you want.

your so wrong its not even funny! im someone with a fast metabolism and i eat so much its not even funny! i have to eat like 5000 calories a day for like a month to even gain 2 pounds.a regular person eats between 1500-2500 a day. do u know how hard it is to actually eat more than 2500 calories a day with skool and work and other activities? not to mention the fact that u have to keep up your calorie intake consistantly for the weight to stay on! as soon as u stop the weight falls off like water

I actually think it's easier for someone who's trying to lose weight than somebody who's try to gain weight.. it's just so difficult to try and force yourself to eat.

OMG, I completely understand you, I try to intake 3000 calories and thats hard, so i can only image what you have to go throw. My self and my family about the same amounts of foods, I usually eat a lot more then them, they gain weight but i dont. I might gain 1 pound after trying for weeks, but then i can loss that same pound in 1 or half a day WITH OUT EXERCIZE. Fat people just don't understand how easy they have it.

at 15 i was 6'1 130. at 19 i was 6'1 190. then after working a bakery job, i went down to 150. i am 160 now. its hard to keep the weight. i gained it through hard weight lifitng and eating extremely. and i mean upwards of 8,000 calories a day sometims !

Fibre? From vegetables and fruits. This bitch is talking her ass out,. She says nothing useful. Quality protein is complete and complementary protein. Great complete proteins are from eggs and milk. Fat is pretty much irrelevent in the discussion. Butter is a good source of fat..
