I enjoy your playing style. Sounds like a a genetic splice of Jan Hammer and Vangelis. Finally making the time to make music again, and vid's like this help fan the fire. Nice job.
This performance is amazing man. I am a producer myself, and I was wondering if you've ever come across any soft synths that were able to come close to competing with the virus or the Micro Q. I've had some moderate success with albino3, zebra, and Omnisphere. Just curious if you ever dabble with VSTs. :) Inspiring work as always.
Not really, although I don't have those VSTs. Given the digital nature of the Virus it *should* be possible, but it's apparent that the Access guys *really* know what they're doing. I can't imagine the code that's packed into this hardware that allows it to do everything it does.
which do u think is better sounding mate? the virus or the Q (blofeld in my case). blo has about 1/4 the voices as the virus, but double the modulations. but how do they sound side by side?
hey Keybdwizrd, sorry for my language but i don't speak english. i'm italian. what's the name have sound the motif 6? use a expander or has a sound of motif? whats his name?
I have a couple of these two-tiered stands - one is made by "On Stage Stands" and another from "Pro Line." Got them both at Guitar Center here in the US.
hey wizard.. any idea what stand you'd recommend for a virus TI polar and a roland fantom x6? looks like the one you have here i would guess.. thanks!!
It's very good to see you around. I used to listen to your stuff back in the 90's when I was trying to get a grip on the capabilities of the Yamaha XG technology. Every once in a while, I would look you up to see if I could find you. HERE YOU ARE!
I wrote a much longer reply but was cut off by the character counter...just talking about when I composed and arranged various tunes on the XG. I switched to more acoustic guitar playing and singing...but have found myself back for more synth..
Check Sweetwater, Zzounds, Nova Musik, Musician's Friend, Guitar Center, etc., all online. The top one is a Virus TI Polar synthesizer, made by Access Music in Germany. The bottom one is a Yamaha Motif (a very early model). You can also find them on eBay.

Sorry, I've never played a Blofeld, but I did prefer the sound of the Virus to the Q.

The sound played by the Motif is coming from the Waldorf Micro Q.
