i remember that part where there was a fork in the river, and there was like a native that wasn't friendly and he had face painting that really scared me. I also remember that fat guy that tells you the story about the tree of life and gives you a blowpipe

I remember this game! I never beat it because I kept getting lost in the freaking river for some reason. I'd sit there at my computer for like, thirty minutes... The map didn't help. Neither did the fact that I was really young...So, I'd just stop random at places and take pictures... and sometimes I'd actually get where I was supposed to because of sheer dumb luck! XD

Ah god, I miss this. My favorite part was fishing. Remember that giant-ass fish you could catch that was longer than the screen? Fffffff, I caught that thing over and over.

I got this game in a cherios box as well, in our houst this was the GAME. We almost never had any games to play and we all loved animals so this game was perfect and it is very special to me.

Amazingly, it was very well made. If you take time to discover all the animals and plants, you can invest a large amount of time into this game.

I wonder why a good game like this was released inside cereal boxes?

I think they were on the front of the boxes so you could just rip them off when no one was looking. :)

Oh the memories I have with this game :) I got this game in a cereal box and I played it quite frequently. But for some reason, there was a glitch where I couldn't play it any further when I got to the woman with the bath tub. That really sucked :(

i remember playing this game late at night when i was ten and i was at the part where this guy makes you look for an indian tribe and then you find them and then gain their trust and then go back to the guy who made you look for them and i told him where they were cuz i thought that would give me a part of the shield but instead the tiger was like "you told the man where they were! you should not have done this!" and i felt totally guilty and sad

Lol! Dude I remember it taking forever to find the tribe, but that never happened to me...I told the guy I found them, and the only option I remember was "They said they wanted to be left alone" If that's the scenerio you're reffering to.

God I love this game. I still have it, but it's too unadvanced for our computer.

I liked this game a lot and this one was my favorite edition. It was tougher than the Oregon Trail (which wasd good too), but I was only able to complete the game once, and there was one part of the shield I didn't get. It was the one with the evil spaniard who tries to enslave you and steal all ur stuff.

Yeah, same for me. I remember getting it on my first try of the game but I don't remember why and I gave him ALL my fish/machete/harpoon etc. so couldn't do anything after so I reset.

Also mine was called Amazon Trail 2. Is it the same thing as 3? Like how Oregon Trail 5 is the same as 2?

You mean Lope de aguirre? Your supposed to give him the plant that either paralyzes him or makes him throw up. And you do that by trading with him. But only give him the plant and say I'm done trading or else he'll take everything you have.

Most hilarious part in the game is poisoning him or tricking him. I had a good laugh over that one, especially since you wouldn't expect to find that in a kid's game.
