A childhood favorite though, was Amy the Dancing Bear, by Carly Simon, about a girl-bear who was too full of energy to go to bed. Doesn't sound like anyone you know, right?

My favorite picture books were the Frances books by Hoban and Happy Birthday to You by Dr. Seuss.
