  • Hi

  • goofy says yes. LOL

  • That is one stressed out Iguana!

  • This thought me to cast really well. Thanks dude.By the way, nice iguana.

  • Great tutorial, dude. And that's an absolutely gorgeous iguana!

  • The amount of shock leader that you are putting in, is it good to go if someone fishing for world records? how long leader is allowed to fish when surf casting.

    Thanks for the valuable info.

  • Hi Mat, just wanted to say thanks for the great tips you have provided in your videos regarding surf casting. I just got back from a vacation trip to Brigantine, NJ for the fourth year in a row and while I was there I fished all week from the shore only this time I put all of your tips to good use and man did they make a difference. Not only did I get over the rips with the pendulum cast, I also was able to keep my line anchored with the 8oz breakaway sinkers you suggested.

    Chris.

  • that knot looks like a duncan loop what kind of fish were you catching any good ones

  • im catching mostly striped bass

  • Good videao pal, very helpful indeed. I think the knot you used is called a blood knot in England (UK). Have you ever tried using braided line all the way through, without a shock leader? People say reel tangles occur.... whats you opinion?

Does the way you lay the line on the reel when winding in affect distance? I.e. it must be perfectly even on the spool?

  • what up with the lizard.3 things not to work with in show bisnes animals children and both.dont care how bad spelling is.

  • As long as you set your clutch right and you have enough line on the spool to let the fish run itself out then you can bring in just about any size of fish on 20lb.

One IBGF record was a striped bass of 78.5lbs in 1982 caught and landed on 20lb mainline, took the angler 1hr 40mins to land it but land it he did.

Landing fish a lot heavier than your line reasonably easy as long as you remember you have to play the fish and not just yank it out of the water

  • will the combo with the 20 lb mono and the 120lb braid work to bring in a 45-70 lb fish?
