You know its hard to get people to even say the Pledge of Alligance now-a-days. Its a shame. Who cares who says it! Its an amazing pledge said by a person who had a lot of influence back then and even now. Its a good thing to say.
@usarmycaptainamerica .., that never served & during ww2 while other actors served like Jimmy Stewart, Eddie Albert, Tyrone Powers, Clark Gable etc. Wayne did not and choose to advance his career.
@fluffy1931@fluffy1931 Yes fluff he was a true American. He was considered unable to serve doing to a physical issue. He was a patriot both on and off screen.
If you want to levy that kind of attack aginst him, let me throw this out there to you. We are in the middle of thre wars on thre seperate fronts, not to mention having our military stationed in more than one hundred countries.
Have you served in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, or the military?
John Wayne initially obtained 3-A status, "deferred for [family] dependency reasons." In 1944, Wayne received a 2-A classification, "deferred in support of [the] national . . . interest." A month later the Selective Service decided to revoke many previous deferments and reclassified him 1-A. But Wayne's studio appealed and got his 2-A status reinstated until after the war ended.
All you have to do now is to get rid of the ILLUMINATI and we can all get about with a smile once again ! Rebel and fight the ILLUMINATI REMEMBER THE ALAMO !
He didn't have any fucking injuries. He was reclassified, and still didn't go in.
He was a loafer and draft dodger. Google "what kept john wayne out of the military".

Wayne couldn't serve in the Military, due to the same knee injuries that ended his college football career.
If you want to attack a TRUE American, at least try to get your facts straight.

@fluffy1931 I am still active duty myself got out and then called back and have been active duty ever since. Been to Iraq but not Afghanistan yet.
As I said before I think John Wayne was a great man, and patriot both on and even more so off the screen, and I stand by it.
As a fellow Vet, thanks for your service.....

@fluffy1931 Jimmy Stewart is another hero of mine, do you realize he retired from the Army as a Brigadier General?
Again John Wayne, was given a deferment if I recall do to hearing. He had initially applied to Annapolis.
