I was lucky enough to meet Terry when he attended a MGO (Musical Gospel Outreach)Christian conference at Swannick in the
70's. He was invited to sing and got up on stage and sung "Poor Boy" but changed the words so that it was a song to Jesus rather than a girl ie. "I will never be a poor boy as long as I've got a Saviour like you"
A wonderful friendly man, also a great singer who just missed out on what could have been a terrific career.
Met this wonderful guy in the 80's at an r&r concert. He gave me and my friends a lift home, then stayed for a couple of hours listening to old 78's. A real credit to British rockers. Love you Terry...
Many thanks for posting this - it's great to hear the old singers. Please keep them coming. I've posted one of Wee Willie Harris if you get a chance to listen to it
Rock on Terry, a great, underated British rocker, hounded by the press and "establishment" I was once priveleged to meet him in the North West in about 1963 on a tour with Rhett Stoller, a nice person.I believe that he is still performing at rock 'n' roll nostalgia shows, if so ,Terry come to the north west !!!!
he joined the Salvation Army..........moved over to GOD
