This is the best! I haven't heard this since I was a little kid! This show sparked my imagination. I even had the the toy Fireball XL5 ship. I must have played thissong a million times in the last wek since rediscovering it. The 50's/early 60's had the best music, and this was one of the best from one of the best shows. Thanks for posting this great song.  I was too young to remember the original TV series, but I first heard this song in episode 5 of the Tom Hanks miniseries, From the Earth to the Moon, which was on HBO in the mid nineties. This episode was titled Spider, and traced the developement of the Lunar Module, taking place at Grumman Aerospace, which was here on Long Island, NY.

I did not know the title of the song, but stumbled upon it by luck!
