jommodagreat is right about the Chaos forces being from different legions. And the canonical winners of Winter Assault were the Eldar, based on what Dark Crusade says anyway.

Still, you're right about the Orks 'winning' in a sense - should you win as Chaos in Dark Crusade, it notes that Eliphas gained Khorne's favour by reclaiming Crull's skull.

So either way, even if the Eldar won, Gorgutz still murdered Crull and stuck the Chaos Lord's skull on his 'pointy stick'.

Basically, the Eldar were the overall winners because they accomplished their main mission (stopping the Necrons) and Taldeer survived to fight on Kronus in DC

Sturnn's fate hasn't been mentioned, but I'm guessing he was killed because at the beginning of DC it's mentioned that the Imperial Guard's original reason for arriving on Kronus was to 'bring Taldeer to justice for her actions on Lorn V'.

It'd be a shame if he was killed, because for an Imperial I rather liked him.

I'm not so sure about that. Based on what I heard in Dark Crusade, I'd say that the eldar won. Reason is because they said something about the eldar being pursued by the Imperial guard as the imperial guard's original reason for going. And if you play as Chaos, Eliphas retrieves Crull's skull from Gorgutz. So my theory is that the Eldar won, the titan blew up, necrons die, imperial guard fights whats left of Chaos and wins, Gorgutz gathers his boyz and leaves. At I think
