  • If you add the time necessary to unsettle and raise the helmet, prepare it, paint, clear, sand, clear again and polish it, you can't work only 7 hours, sorry !!

It take at minimum 12 jours, maybe 15, so it's not so expensive !

  • Because whilst i was doing voluntary work to strengthen my CV last year when i was 16. I saw some novices kids do pretty much the same kind of design but on an omp helmet but with more strips.

All with a decent airbrush and a air compressor without a tank. The equipment they used cost around £180 and they took less than 7hours to finish.

  • Why is it funny ???

For the price, the cost was about 380 £, that is really less than 800 £, no ?? So it's not very expensive, isn't it ??

  • lol its funny to think that... the owner of the helmet probably paid some where between £300-800 for it to be airbrushed roflll

  • @KartingApexKing why is that funny?

  • superbe

  • that looks great. great job

  • Félicitation, beau travail

  • vraiment bravo!!!!c est du bon travail de finition,du grand art, chapeau!!!

  • That helmet was OUTSTANDING !!! well done, you have some real talent. If possible could you tell me which 3M fine line Tape i should buy i have tried many but with no luck ??

    Once again fantastic work.

  • Awesome job man, love it. Super clean looking!!!

  • wow, very impresive, you make it look very easy, but defenately is not.

What kind of clear you use? I'm trying to paint my helmet but I'm afraid of contamination when I apply the clear coat.

  • It depends on the result I want.

I use Body, Dupont, or Sikkens clears.

    regards

  • Thank you very much.

  • très beau travail.

    très belle couleur.

très très très tout ce que tu veux.... j'adore le style.

    continue :)

  • Merci de ton enthousiasme !!

  • Very nice work....Real art

  • Great work!!!

Honestly, it looks simple, but it's NOT!! But the video shows that masking is at least 50% of the job :-D

I'm having a lot of problems with the finish of my own helmet. I dont know how to get that super smooth finish in the last coat...

    Help anyone???

  • Hi, and thanks !

The best thing to do for a good finish is two or tree clear coats, than sanding with 1000 water paper grid, and again two coats of clear.

    Then, you can polish.

  • What do you use for polish? Type and/or manufacturer

  • I use FARECLA products, that are water based, better (to me) than 3M.

G3 with the white and wet

then G10 with the black foam

You can also use only "TOTAL" with the orange foam, for a quicker result, but a bit less good.

    regards, MAD
