@Nahtee Bright colors reflect, but absorb all other colors. Black is a bad idea because it absorbs all colors and in this case, the beams' effects. White or just all the colors the creature and Firefly used pretty much does it, so the drawers and writers had to choose between the two.

I think this was the better. Preparing for only the colors Firefly used(hard) instead of everything(simple). It just shows how well he planed this out. Plus white looks more wrong on batman for some reason. :X
