Yes you can, it just unscrews. You will be left with a tiny screw hole but can't really be seen unless you are looking for it.

Nothing wrong with shredding on a Sheraton. They were meant to do it all. I remember on Day 1 when I got mine, I rocked it out. They aren't just for blues and jazz, even though they do a better job for those genres than most other guitars.

@lLetTheGoodTimesRoll No one ever said you have to play a hollowbody this way or that. every musician out their has their prefrences. and last I checked the memorable ones seldomly follow the hollowbodies are for blues and jazz, SGs are only played by 70 rock bands and country cant be played on anything other then a tele.

Well, the main reason he bought it was cause he saw MCR's Frank Iero playing it in the Welcome To The Black Parade video... haha but I'm kinda convinced to get one too haha XD
