@GOJU4LIFE1 You basically want enough air to avoid getting flats or damaging rims but still soft enough to allow the tire to wrap around objects and improve grip. On that bike I'd be running about 20psi and on the little 20" wheel bike I'd have had about 20psi in the front and 15psi in the rear.
@davemarshall82 i want to buy a trial bike im not sure where from but i want to pay under £650 ish i dont know what inch but i know im NOT going to be doing flips
@alewisgb It depends what sort of bike you want really. 20" and 26" bikes can be either set up for competition/natural type stuff or for 'street' but street in the gaps, sidehops and ups type of thing. The 24"'s tend to be more suited to a kind of crossover between trials and BMX but can still be quite useful for proper trials riding too. Maybe check out the Onza range on TartyBikes dot co dot uk- they're really good value for money.
@skateboarderdude1010 Cheers chief. It depends what you want to do really. 20 and 26 are both 'proper' trials bikes with the 20 probably being the easiest to learn on but if you want to mix more BMXey moves with trials (like Danny Mac) then a 24 is the way to go.
Man, this is so tiring when you first start; I'm thinking of getting a proper trials bike from TartyBikes, my bmx is just not up to this sort of thing. And by the way, I wish I was you ;oP
How are you connected to the pedals? I don't understand how you can do those jumps without being connected to the pedals and pull the bike up to the air with your legs.
@ronenfe We don't use any kind of straps or clips- they are just normal 'flat' pedals. You make the bike rise with you by 'unweighting' it by pushing down and back on the pedals to create enough friction between your foot and pedal to keep the bike attached. That and lots of practise!
The most difficult bicycle stunts I performed for tv was cycling with one leg, handsfree, zigzagging across linear rows of metal poles, fixed between ten feet apart on concrete floor, at East Coast Park, and at the same time carrying a bicycle.
well not necessarily it just depends on what kinda trials... danny mac is really good at street trials... but when it comes to competitions, hes not the greatest.
(but dont get me wrong, i still think danny's a legend)
You cant really compare him and danny there both great riders but there both two completly different styles Danny more of a bmxer but Dave is more of a real original trials rider
It's funny when people make dumb comments like this.... He never said he was, He is who he is and Macaskill is who he is, don't compare the two when this clearly isn't a competition at the moment!
about how long do thoes rims need to be replaced after hitting corners like that?, it sounds like it is hurting them, i dont know much about bikes just ride them for exercise, wish i could do this stuff would be cool 5 stars good job
TartyBikes is a shop which sells trials bikes and components. The main bike in there is an Onza T-Rex although there are a couple of clips on a Zoo Python 20" bike too.
How did Dannski get so good, he's a Sgitheanach isn't he? Not easy finding a street in Shhhkye let alone a wall or railing, haha. I'm from Lochcarron and have tried to be a trials god, but unfor'una'ley im still pretty shite. I'm in Edinburgh now and I'm shite down here too. Great work though and keep it up, excellent to see a teuchter with such awesome skills!!!
yo man ur sick how long have u been doing it , i ride jump bike but i might consider trials aswel for like fun in town, but yeh love the song and awsome vid man keep it up forever and ule be better than martin ashton ( acutally i think u might be )

hey im converting my apollo xc 24 (not the best bike ever but lasts a while as ive proved) to a trials bike should i leave the standard plastic parts on because they're light and cheap 2 replace or switch then with aluminium parts wich will last a bit longer
i would recomend going for the aluminium parts as you will have (it is imposible not to in this sport) a crash at one stage or another and plastic will brake sooner rather than later
Hi, no there is no suspension on the bikes beyond tyre compression. The spring comes mainly from timing and muscle power- using your arms and legs to jump up and then pulling the bike up with you and tucking it up to gain extra height. There is also an element of using some power through the cranks to give the bike a bit more of a 'kick' but that has to be combined with body movement. Hope that answers your question!
Not that much to be honest. Once you know you can do something and practise enough everything should be pretty much under control. Also because you're usually going fairly slowly you can often get away with jumping off the bike and limiting injuries. Worst I've ever done is broken my wrist.
