Este documento es de un valor extremamente ponderable. Pocas producciones de esta talla se pueden encontrar en España ni Portugal. Cecil Roth, historiador de indiscutible prestigio de la Diáspora Sefardita fundamenta el paso de este colectivo por México. Aún así no me queda claro por qué esta ejecutada tan magistralmente por un grupo mexicano. Me parece tan bueno como el grupo Raíces de España. Relacionarla con lo vasco me parece muy fuera de lugar. Lo armenio sí tiene su compleja explicación.

excelente interpretación, no la he podido conseguir. la letra cuanta que una mujer le dice a su madre (las dos de origen Judio) que le han regalado una matica de ruda (un ramo de flores), se lo ha dado un mancevico (un gentil), la madre contesta "Hija mía, mi querida, no te eches a perdición. Más vale un mal marido que un mancevo de amor. Más vale un mal marido, que un mancevo de amor". una de mis canciones favoritas. en realidad las madres judias no distan mucho de las madres mexicanas, jeje

Me gusta mucho ésta música. Así como la música medieval y antigua. Entiendo el antiguo castellano en que estas canciones están escritas. Tiene muchas palabras del italiano moderno. :-) Pexe = pescado (es) = pesce (it), presto = pronto, rápido (es) = presto (it), etc. :-)

@ZeeGooner This music is from the old Mozarabic Southern Part of Spain, where Muslim, Christian and Jewish Culture came together. Basque Music was much different at the time, most of Northern Christian Spain had a totally different culture than that of Southern Spain.

This is not andalusian, i'm andalusian. People of Al-Andalous spoke arab and mozarabic, now extintic. this is old castilian (old spanish). The language of sephadic came from old castilian not from Al-Andalous. Sephardics are jews from medieval christian Spain

Los sefardies hablan castellano antiguo (ladino) luego no pueden ser de Al-Andalus, en Al-Andalus se hablaba árabe (una modalidad propia) y el mal llamado mozárabe que hablaban los cristianos y que era un dialecto del latín y que finalmente era el más usado por todos porque era el idioma local, los judíos empleaban uno u otro además del hebreo. El mozárabe se extinguió, se lo asociaba con conversos una vez terminada la reconquista

esta cancion no es mexicana y es un medley ahi estan mezcladas varias canciones sefarditas entre ellas la famosa cantiga morenika, esta cancion trata del cantar de los cantares biblico y si en un supuesto caso se hubiese cantado en mexico dudo que haya sido por algun cristiano viejo, sino por los llamados marranos. Es mas esta version de esta canción es muy similar a las cantadas en Salonika antes de la Shoá
