  • Hi David. Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing. This one has been hard for me, something with the timing that has been hard, but I'm trying. I loved your comment about getting nervous when turning on the camera. Same thing here, we have had to redo, redo, and redo, I know the feeling. Gwen

  • Hey, I really enjoyed it after just learning that song. Thanks

  • good, with some more practice im sure itll be perfect in no time

  • hey man nice deering dont worry about speed.timing is better than speed any day. raymond fairchild says "time is speed-speed is time" but keep up the hard work

  • great job sounds great man!

  • great job. but you might want to put a clamp on second fret

  • No......... but you did good. get the speed up, but remember that hitting the notes cleanly is far better than speed. you made some mistakes, but I REALLY liked how you stuck with it and didn't stop in mid-tune....remember.....on stage, there aint no "let's try that again" crap. I liked how you messed up but still kept playing. Nice, but you can do better. keep pickin' bro

  • You're certainly hitting the notes, and the speed is probably just around the corner.

Better than I could do bro.

Dont you just shake your head in disbelief when you see old clips of Ralph playing this tune?

  • hey that wasn't bad at all. very nice picking keep it up.

  • do you live in WV, or just a fan. If so how close to morgantown?

  • I live In Charleston, still have a few friends in school up there, why do you ask?

  • super job! if you dont have it,get the stanley brothers starday/king instrumental cd.some killer ralph stanley instrumentals that you practically never hear anybody play

  • Hey there Stanleytone1, I took your advice & bought the CD on ebay. Its just like you said, a brilliant double CD.

    Thanks

    Deano

  • VERY good! That's as close to Ralph as you would want to get! Nice sounding banjo too.
