  • @jdavis234 To date I have not encountered a Toyota / Lexus product that needs to be set to recirculate to service the filter. Some of the newer cars do not use a tray to hold the filter. The filter rests on a thin plastic internal support, if the support is damaged during a service or repair. It can drop down into the blower cage and cause a damage. I have seen the results of this kind of failure, it's mostly related to using budget grade filters or if the filter fails from lack of service.
