A large corrupt bank may use the money to buy options in an effort to manipulate a stock or commodity price and in so doing steal wealth from your pension fund, etc. A community bank may use the money to lend needed funds to a small business that in turn creates jobs in your community. That business and those jobs generate a flow of money (energy) through taxes, wages being spent, etc that supports people in your community.

I think it is an overgeneralization to define it as one singular problem. All-or-nothing thinking is limiting/blinding. On the one hand, does your belief energize you? Also, are you saying that whether fiat money is used to steal fiat money and the real wealth it represents from people, or is used to create real jobs and circulate real wealth and power locally, is irrelevant? I think for the people and communities who are drained of wealth or building wealth as a consequence, it is relevant.

Fiat money represents real wealth in the sense that real wealth is transferred through it. People buy real items and exchange real services through it, and that wealth/value transfer is real. You are not addressing the meaning of what I said but rather evading my messages by highlighting a semantic vulnerability. You can change the measure of reality and manipulate that measure, which is what fiat money does, but their are still underlying realities. Real wealth is transferred via fiat money.

I find Catherine's reference to managing our time and efforts in a way to give ourselves and good people energy, to be very helpful. With this seed planted in my mind, and some learning about permaculture & thoughts of nature, I realized that as a negative person, one is motivated by moving away from bad things, fear, and is drained of energy. So I'm making an effort to think in terms of abundance instead of scarcity. To be positive, moving towards good things, and put positive energy out there.
