  • To the guy who asked about the dimarzio's, they are custom wound dimarzio's that were made for eddie van halen, you cannot buy them. the closest to them is the air zone for the bridge and the air norton for the neck.

  • Great guitar, awesome playing...crappy amp, lol! Get yourself a Mesa Rectoverb and you will sound awesome! :)

  • Please can you tell me what kind of Dimarzios are the pickups??i know that are hambucker pickups but i dont know the series of the pickups...if you can help me :)

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

  • What's the official color..."Cherry Burst", "Tobacco Burst", "Honey Burst", "Vintage Sunburst"? Cool jam. Thanks, Chris

  • i feel like an idiot for asking this question but what finish is that? honeyburst? vintage?

btw excellent playing, hear your mistakes my ass haha that was a solid jam man.

  • This guitar is a fine instrument. Every one I have picked up, in Guitar Center or with a couple of friends who have one, has felt great, played great, and sounded great. I truly think it is the best factory produced guitar available, even better than so called "handmade" ones. I only have one bummer, I got big hands, and the 1 5/8 nut width is a bit small for me to grip, if this guitar had a 1 11/16 neck, I would buy it immediately. Good playing on your video!

  • Have you had a chance to check out the new Ibanez Jem 777 guitar contest on stevevaihimself youtube channel ?/

    Thought you might enjoy it

    Great Guitar Technique

  • Getting a Music Man Axis HH Super Sport with Tremolo. But looking to replace the pickups. Which of the following pickup combos would work; Duncan Custom/Alnico II Pro, JB/Jazz, Duncan Distortion bridge and neck, Dimarzio Super Distortion/Paf Pro, Tone Zone/Air Norton, Super 3/Paf Pro. Or if you guys have an different combo that works let me know, please.

  • this guitar comes stock with the tone zone/air norton combo, just eq'd a little different and calling them their own custom wound pickups.

  • @PrsFenderJackson1980

I just got a AXIS and I love the feel of the neck. But the guitars sound very wimpy compared to my Les Paul. Changing the pickups may help but the guitars are made out of ash. I don't know man... I wish they sounded beefier for chunky high gain chords.

BTW: The dude in the video sounds really good playing through that little peavey.

  • @chucke1963 its becuz of the wood, its a very light guitar and a les paul is very heavey. heavier guitars have amazing tones.

  • By the way the sound is not bad. You have a very nice finger tone so it couldn't be bad ;) Keep up the good work dude

  • is that single coil sound?? Does the guitar have 5 way selector i guess??

  • Fuck you got a nice tone outta that amp haha

    Highly enjoyed that man

  • Great Looking Ernie Ball music Man Axis guitar !!!!

  • i like your guitar

  • For that kinda playing, your tone was very suitable and comfortable. I can`t imagine what you could do on a high-end amp :-)

  • i have this shit amp too ^^ i prefer my peavey bandit 112

  • New to Music Man/Sterling guitars. What models would you guys say are the top 4? Curious is all.

  • From what I have played I would say #1 is axis. Then #2 would be a John Petrucci Signature. Then #3 would be the Silhouette (any model). Then #4 is the Luke model. They are all amazing guitars and you would be happy with any of them.

  • dude your phrasing is lovely.

i also love the dynamic shifts with your right hand technique. very good make more videos!

    :D

  • GIME GIMME GIMMEEEEE

  • Great looking and soundiing guitar bro!

Ernie Ball Music Man AXis Guitars ROCK

  • wtf ......a 69 € amp and such a killer tone??? must be the musicman

    nevertheless incredible!!! 5/5

  • @musicbymax Must be the musician :)

  • that's nice tone you got there

  • This is excellent, great playing, great guitar.

  • your too hard on that poor little peavy! it sounds pretty respectable to me...

  • this is the kind playin that gets your head noddin :)

  • sweet guitar, sweet playing. country blues and jazz.. i love it.

  • I have it and Ill never need another guitar lol

my advice to anyone is get one and enjoy its greatness

  • i like this sound very much! Great fantastic clean. I'll buy axis!

  • thank you for the 5star video, good clean!!!

  • I own a fender American strat but the MM Axis is the best guitar ever freaking made. I owned 3 and miss them so much and now I do not have the cash for a new one. Nice playing!

  • nice guitar

    shit amp

  • amazing im jealous... and i really want one of these but i just dont feel good enough to own one. haha but you are pretty damn good

  • I have an American Fender Strat but this baby sounds pretty good clean for a humbucker guitar! Wish i had it, very versatile i imagine.

  • what color

  • cherry sunburst :)

  • i want 1 but there so expenisve! Ah i hate not having money

  • craigslist dude.....i bought a stolen one for cheap...

  • omg, you did what? lol, my guitar is my soul, i think its the same to many other guitarists. how can u play on a stolen one?!

  • "that's why you can hear my mistakes as well" What mistakes? Your playing made sweet love with my ears.

  • Dude - great playing!! But youre doing that fine guitar injustice by putting it through a PV rage. Nice playing though!!

  • thanks very much! i know that ... soon i will post a short video through a Bassman 59 Reissue with nice distortion pedals like Keeley Modded Blues Driver / Ts-808, zendrive etc....!

  • Cool I bet it will sound killer!

  • Very clean and nice playing. I particularly like your limited use of effects. Very nice~

  • great sound! i like it! =D funk whit music man <3!

  • enjoyed that! So what is the axis sport like, should i buy one and would you say the frets are smaller spaced than a strat? keep playing, it sounds very good!!!

  • does the super sport have a whammy bar?i saw in other videos

  • you can choose between vintage trem or hard tail.

    mine has the hard tail.

  • Dude thats some sick playing... I'm looking for a guitar that sounds somewhat similar to this... besides the ernie ball models, are there any other guitars that you would reccomend? thanks :)

  • PRS can get a similar sound, you just gotta know what kind to get

an SE custom might work well

  • depends on the sound you desire!

a Les Paul sounds much smoother and fuller due to the mahogany body / neck

a stratocaster sounds different too (single coils, ash or elder...)

but i didn't play a similar sounding guitar of another brand yet

  • @uw1992 Take a look at the Ernie Ball Music Man Silhouette with the HSS pups. However, if you want one guitar that can do Les Paul sounds and Tele/Strat like tones, get the Axis Super Sport. Fort he money it is easily the very best

  • hi in your opinion what's the best axis or axis super sport?

  • Very nice playing and nice guitar too!!!

  • Excellent. I was looking for a demo of the super sport but I really enjoyed your playing. You did a nice job of showing the different tones and pickup options.

  • thanx :) to be honest: when I made the video i just gambled around a bit ...

  • Sweet man

  • dude im loving the sound without any effect and i'm doubting its due to the guitar alone.. Congrats to the player... nice playing

  • awesome !!

  • the regular axis is better, i have one. it has a floyd rose on it and no tone nob and sounds amazing.

  • well - i don't like floyd rose tremolos ... so i took the super sport.

  • tru dat :)

  • im gettin the regular with the floyd soon, im very exited about it!

  • Actually the Axis is not better, it's just basically what the EVH model was before Eddie left ErnieBall. The Axis only comes one way, while the Super Sport can be more customized to your liking. Both are superior instruments, neither one is better than the other.

  • that's right!

there you have some variations (not sure if there are more)

    EVH: floyd rose

    Axis SuperS: vintage trem

    Axis SuperS: hard tail

Axis SuperS: vintage trem (P90 pickups)

Axis SuperS: hard tail (P90 pickups)

additionaly you can have piezo pickups ..

  • Whoaw! I can't believe, humbuckers sounds like that on clean channel! I'm looking now for cheap amp and I think that's that!

  • SWEET guitar and awesome playing. I hope to be able to do that one day. I am just starting out and been playing 3 months and have a musicman JP6 but like the Axis better actually. Thanks for posting this.

  • you've been playing 3 months and have a MM john petrucci. I take your not exactly hard up then?? eh? =D good choice mind

  • Wat the fuck?!! A music man after 3 months? Jesus christ.

  • nah... 3 months and 10 years of blood sweat n tears.

  • there's nothing special about a gibson les paul, that axis is just as good if not better than a Gibson. it's just the amp he's playing through

  • @Chad11491 agree'd its a great guitar! if you can get that sound out of a crappy amp you know thats a great guitar. which it is, i personal dont like the neck on the model, its too fat. I own a MMJP guitar... OMG AMAZING nicest guitar i ever played

  • awesome playing, sweet tone, and awesome axe... but is there a specific name for the pickups in that guitar? Because i want to buy a bridge position pickup for my SG.

  • i don't think that there is a specific name ... these PUs were designed by DiMarzio for these Musicman Guitars (former EVH modell I think)

  • that sounds really good, dude

  • whats the difference between the peavey rage 158 and the peavey rage 258?

  • most likely wattage

  • Great Music Man Axis demo. I recently got the all-rosewood version and love it. Your playing and video really bring out the great sounds this guitar has. I'm especially amazed by the in-between (2 & 4) positions which sound so believeably strat- and tele- like. NIce playing!

  • I have question, what could you tell me about this amp? It's good or not ? For me very important is disortion because i would like to play some rock/hard rock...or meaby could you advice me some other amp in this price?

    pls help me

  • im so jealous i want one of those.

  • WHile not cheap, if you keep an eye peeled on Ebay, you can occasionally snatch up a Super Sport for around $900, love mine, best overall guitar I've owned, and I've had Les Pauls, Strats. Given that most working musicians will play various music styles throughout their lives, can't be beat for their versatility.

  • gotta love the blues, best guitars in the world

    I have a blonde super sport & purple sport ,& 06 sillouhette

can't beat these guitars, very nice playing man

  • jeez man you can play i wanted one of the music mans sooooo much but i never got one cause they were too expensive so i got a epi les paul custom and it has no where near the tone this thing has man thats a regretful thought

  • thanx ... i dont think so! its great for practising and i play it live, too (but only the clean channel for "low volume gigs")!!! but for real playing i prefer the peavey classic 30 :-)

  • Really, the 158 sounds good for that amount of money it costs. Even in the same price class, find a comparable amp anyway. I use a Ken Rose XL15R for those low volume things, the overdrive is similar to the Rage's and quite authentic (although it's a transistor amp).
