Good point, humbleness and humility is someting that is lacking here and without that one cannot relish to the love and understanding in which krsna bhakti is experianced.
I would defeat this so called holy man in an instant with regard to who is God, and is more supreme etc. He only refers to Bhagavad Gita ( prabhupada interpretation), and Srimad Bhagavatam, and the brahma samhita (oddly rnough found by Caitanya Mahaprabhu). But no regrd is given to the rest of the puranas or the upanishads. I'd defeat him easily.
First and foremost you are already defeated by ur uncontrolled senses so how can you defeat others if you are already defeated. The bhagavad gita(prabhupads translation)is the proper translation of the gita as it is translated by a devotee(prabhupad). Only a devotee can understand gita and krsna. This gita comes in line with the Brahma Madhva Gaudiya Sampradaya. The rest of the puranas lead one to the srimad bhagavatam, which is the essence of all other puranas and the conclusion of the vedas.
Honestly, it's just getting more & more interesting. The weekend is coming, that means no work. Hope you are able to upload another, or some more, parts to this. I am at the point where I just want to see it consecutively in one sitting. But I understand what you are doing.
The trimurti was created by Lord Krsna. Krishna should get all the the credit. The 3 murti are guna avatars of Lord Krsna. By the way can you give me the vedic evidence of exactly where you are getting this information from?
all gods are the same you shouldn't be playing favorite. dont be fooled with this guy who's saying Krishna planted seed in durga. I have yet to read all of the Vedas but I know few concepts, I recommend you compare the sacrificial routine of Vedas with book of Leviticus. No, Hinduism wasn't derived from Judiasm but was influenced at a point.
Actually there is only one God. The rest are demigods. Krsna happens to be the supreme Lord in vedic culture. The vedas primarily deal with karma kanda, higher then the 4 vedas are the ithihasas, brahmanas, aranyakas, upanishads and finally the puranas. The conlusion of the vedic literature is that Lord Krsna is the supreme and Goddess durga is his material energy as metioned in the uttama siddhanta. If one comments on something it has to be proven through sastra, one cannot simply speculate.
The 3 murti by the way is also a concocted notion presented by indoligists such as Max Muellor(sp) and others when they came 2 india to discredit vedic culture as they wanted to present christianity as the highest, however the 3 are although part of vedic culture they are not considered the 3 murti, they are guna avatars of Lord Krsna. According to vedic siddhanta Lord Krsna controls the "trimurti" and Durga wasnt only created to kill Maisasur, she has a more prominent role then that.
I hope you don't think After killing one maisasur another maisasur appeared from the drop of blood as the story claims, but it is a metaphor that Maisasur was charismatic and his ideas could never be killed which plauged society. This is where Durga comes in to play the role of material thing that brings suffering amongst them. Most holy texts were written in Metaphors and analogies therefore people misinterrupt it many times.
When people dont understand or arent guided by the proper authority in vedic culture we mistakenly come to the conclusion that these stories are all metaphors, which is a conclusion given by those who cannot understand these stories and simply speculate. By the way, can you give me vedic reference for which i asked you in my previous messege.
alright i am waiting for the proof from bonafide sastra. Why is the story of Maisasur a metaphor and not authentic? Who decides if something is metaphorical or litteral?
But are we suffering in Durga or are we actually stoically enduring it? I guess it is a matter of perspective. One may claim they are suffering yet another claim it's the practice of endurance of either suffering or pleasure...
we are enduring our suffering. The material world is dukhalayam asasvatam, temperary and full of misery. Perspective is due to consciousness, one may have perticular consciousness and think that its krsna's mercy and not really suffering at all. Kinda like Queen kunti in her prayers.
some may not really think that life is suffering but rather simply what is, especially if they are atheists. There would be nothing beyond the moment and one could choose either optimism or pessimism in their outlook.
yeah, that aspect is there, but that is due to lack of knowledge. It is what it is because when you havent experianced eternel bliss we can only compare it to the experiance we have in the material world, so if we have nothing to compare it to then thats the conclusion we reach.
thanks, it did help and maybe this tragedy is the Gods way of telling me something. I look foward to talking with my Swami on Saturday. Jay Swaminarayan
agreed, for you maybe above is true. but for many others, it isnt. in fact in the six schools of philosophy, 4 are atheist or atleast agnostic. also somewhere above you have commented that the vedas are lower in rank than the puranas. i think even the puranas have never dared claimed anything of that sort. the gita itself is thought of as an upanishad, i.e. an explanation of the vedas. so in that sense, i think your claim is not correct
V agree that the gita is Gitopanishad as it gives the proper understanding of the upanishads and the essence of all upanishads, the word upanishad means "that which has been heard at the feet of the guru" Now,i understand your statement regarding the puranas and if i stated that then i mispoke, the Vedas are eternal and apauruseya is a fact that all sampradayas, including the school of Sankara, unanimously agree with. They constitute the means of receiving knowledge about the Absolute Truth.
the Prabhasa-khanda of the Skanda Purana (5.3.121-124) it is said --
veda-van niscalam manye puranartham dvijottamahvedah pratisthitah sarve purane natra samsayah bibhety-alpa-srutad vedo mam ayam calayisyatiitihasa-puranais tu niscalo'yam krtah purah yan na drstam hi vedesu tad drstam smrtisu dvijahubhayor yan na drstam hi tat puranah pragiyateyo veda caturo vedan sangopanisado dvijahpuranam naiva janati na ca sa syad vicaksana
" O best of the brahmanas, the meaning of the Puranas is unchanging just like that of the Vedas. The Vedas are all sheltered within the Puranas without a doubt. The Veda has a fear that unqualified people will read her and then distort her meaning.
Thus, the significance of the Veda was fixed in the Puranas and Itihasas. That which is not found in the Vedas is found in the Smrti. That which is not found in the Smrti is to be found in the Puranas. Those who know even the Vedas and Upanisads are not learned if they do not know the Puranas."
The reason they are called 'Puranas' is because they make the Vedas complete (puranat puranam iti canyatra). This is not to suggest that the Vedas are incomplete. It simply means that the Puranas are explanatory supplements which aid one to understand the concise and ambiguous passages in the Vedas. If the Puranas complete the Vedas, it is only logical that they must be Vedic in nature.
Nyaya, vaisesika and yoga are theistic. Sankhya has both theistic(bhagavata) and atheistic (nirisvara) versions. Karma mimamsa ispantheistic (omnipresent divinity) and Vedanta has theistic andmonistic interpretations.
When the sad darshans are followed under the direction of Guru, sadhu and sastra then they lead to full understanding of Bhagavan. This leads to the bhagavad purana which is the natural commentary on the vedanta sutra by Srila Vyasadev and the only vedic literature that claims that its the only vedic literature that you need. Bhagavad purana 1.1.2
i disagree with any totalitarian idea, any ides which abrogates to itself all power, whether spiritual or social or economic. in that sense i am wary of any book or ideology which claims exclusivity. spirituality os not a collective phenomenon. its an individual phenomenon, and thats why all paths usually stress individualistic practices like yoga, meditation and pranayam etc. so generalizing individual level arguments to collective truths is replete with dangers. in that sense i disagree.
Ok,but as u disagree with 1 idea you are presenting your own totalitarian idea. Ur idea is also exclusive to ur paradigm and hence u r proposing your own exclusive paradigm on this perticular connection to your disagrement with the video. V may disagree however vedic uttama siddhanta can only be understood under the guide of a bonafide guru coming from a bonafide parampara via a bonafide sampradaya. U have free will 2 disagree however the vedic uttama siddhanta is unchanging and uncompromasing.
I got your messeges, i prefer if you talk to me here, if you talk about me on others videos then it will be an issue. I hope you enjoyed the prayers by Queen Kunti video.
For sure, I just watched it because this series you got going has me captivated. This series you post is one of very few subscribtions I look foward to. I sent this video to 4 other friends of mine and they enjoy them too :) Especially now I need God because these floods in southern Wisconsin are affecting me badly. I may lose everything of this world but I still have God!! Jay Swaminarayan
glad u r enjoying my videos. I m glad u look forward 2 my videos. I hope u watch my other videos. Tell ur friends 2 sub 2 my videos if they can. The videos are free cause the gas is expensive. lol. I am sorry 2 hear about ur situation regarding the flood in ur area. These are temperary impediments and they pass. Material happiness and distress are like the seasons, 1 must learn to tolarate. I have studied a lot and through guru u can learn to establish a relationship with Krsna.
How can you say that. if you are a true devotee and understand Gita, you wont proclaim to defeat any other devotees.

Durga AKA Kali was created by Trimurti to get rid of MaisaSur.
Hes giving Krishana a little too much credit.
All three are equally responsible responsible for creating Kali.
