can i use it without a contract? i mean can i turn the 3g off, and only use the wireless. When i bought the G1 i couldnt turn my internet off so i couldnt move to another country with the phone. can I do that with this one?

@nmen42 the qhd is the super lcd screen. qhd has more pixels than Super Amoled plus but super has more subpixels which makes it more rich. :D lolzs xD

@OAWALKER i love HTC but i'm not convinced by this phone - on your video and other videos the phone seems quite laggy despite the dual core processor which is a huge disappointment - is this just the camera playing up or was the phone really that laggy during use? also was it still a pre production phone given it being so close to release?

When he looks at the software in the video it says it's running a software called "Pyramid_launch_event" so it's definitely not the finalised software, it's pre-release software.

I've heard that the final homescreen might have more effects on it, like when you tilt the phone the 3d effect will tilt towards you, sounds kinda cool. Gimmicky, but cool :D

If your using T-mobile tho it would make sense to get this phone because iphone 4 doesn't even support their 4g/3g network speeds. if on Verizon or att i would get an iphone. At any rate though...NEVER rush into regret... watch the competition... theres a new android phone literally every month being released,leaked, or announce but only 1 iphone per year.
well finally a review that shows more stuff than just the lock screen , htc watch and instant capture feature as if thats the only interesting stuff about this phone. currently undecided whether or not to get this or SGS2. Samsungs UI is terrible and the aesthetics of the phone just don't compare to the sensation but the SGS2 has way better specs and cool features like NFC and i don't want to be behind technologically because new phones come out so fast and i need a phone that will last a while
I'm really excited about this phone, I can not wait. I wish it was coming out this month. This phone looks like it's going to be one of the best phones Tmo has in a long time.

I was mega annoyed when this came out as I bought my Incredible S 2 days prior, but after this video, I see the hard ware is quite similar and performance seems identical + hopefully new sense is coming out for the whole HTC range! I am relieved.
I don't know if it's because of a camera recording a screen but the OS seems kind of choppy to me, when you scroll the 3D carousel screen it doesn't have a nice smooth animation to me. I could be wrong though, need to see it in person.
The htc ssnse user interface on this phone looks very choppy. Is it all or just this?
