Hii! is there any place where we can learn writing? i am blind and i cant see what is on the screen, i can just hear your voice :) thank you for the videos!
Ce faceți, I'm trying to learn some more Romanian but am finding it difficult because I don't have anybody to speak it with! Can anybody help? I love these videos by the way!! Mulțumesc mult!
Ce faceți, I'm trying to learn some more Romanian but am finding it difficult because I don't have anybody to speak it with! Can anybody help? I love these videos by the way!! Mulțumesc mult!
the word aichi is spoken by you and sounds like aich, how come?
when you said cati ani ai in another video i think, it sounded like you said coots ani ai with no " ee " sound for the i at the end of cati, did you pronounce the "ee" for the i and i just did not hear it?
@VidSir In Romanian, that is how it is pronounced. Like in Slavic languages, for example, they pronounce their Js like Is, in Romanian, if the E is at the beginning of a word, it is like an I. It helps pronounce the word easier, such as "ea". Ea would sound quite weird and be harder to say without the E being pronounced with an I in front of it :)
hello, i have an important request and would appreciate your accomodation: i would like more thorough and in depth conversations in romanian. i would like more difficult and advanced lessons on learning romanian. your videos are very helpful and i use them to improve my familiarity with this language, and i would like you to make several more. multumesc!
I think the first thing I got out of this video is that when the pronoun is "eu" then is very often ommitted?
I like your word "sunt" (LOL, I actually expected this phone to autocorrect that when I made a typo :-D)... She's such a pretty little word... atleast in terms of how she sounds...
Anyway, I listen to a lot of Romanian music, so mainly my goal is not to listen like a complete idiot as much anymore :-D
im trying to learn Romanian so 1: i can understand him and 2: as a suprise birthday present because i dont have much. this has helped me a lot and i have even had one of my other friends begin to learn it with me. thank you so much for the lessons! Pa!
This is bullshit :/, i'm half romanian and cannot speak the language anymore... I used to speak it fluently when I was like three/four years old, then we moved to england and now i've almost toally forgot everything, however I remember so many of these words I think I'll be able to speak it fluently again after learning for maybe a few months I hope :)
great videos, you really have some didactic talent and a clear pronounciation.. think I'll just try to memorize some of these basic verbs and phrases.
@andrew2252 well , i want to learn some spanish ... i already know english and french ... i wanna ad more latin based languages to my linguistic vocabulary :D
@kryss483 nu ai pentru ce :D , si app filmuletele tale sunt ,cred eu , destul de interactive si usor de prins :P succes in continuare , salutari din Bacau :)
@DeathNest94 You're almost right, but the Latin would actually be: ego SUM Octavianus (though most often the 'ego' would be left out, since the conjugation of the verb gives the person). 'Sunt' is third-person plural in Latin, which Romanian may have generalised to the first singular (or sound change may just have created 'sunt' in Romanian independently). :)
In Romanian, is there a formal tense? Like for example Spanish has "usted" or "ustedes" which is used when you are talking to someone or multiple people with respect, for example if you asked your professor "How are you?" in Spanish it would be "Como está usted?" rather than "Como estás tu?" which could be used when talking to your friends for instance.
@allygetch Oh, s*it, thanks for reminding me this :) Yes, we have. It's pretty complicated tho. Dumneavoastră, for example, is when you talk to someone older than you, or you just want to be polite. Here you use, as in English, the verb for second person, plural (sunteţi). But there are many forms for this: dumnealui/dumneaei (don't exactly know to translate, but it would be smth like himself/herself, a polite form). And so on ... (I can't write more here, YouTube doesn't give me more space :D)
@kryss483 Haha, you're welcome, and thank you I was not entirely sure, but I thought that since Romanian has Latin influences like Spanish, French, Italian, etc. do that. If you could please make a video explaining more in depth that would be greatly appreciated because I've been having a difficult time finding anything on the formal tense in Romanian which has been quite annoying^^;
@allygetch Yes, I will try to make a vid, but I don't promise anything, so please don't wait and don't get mad at me cause I dunno when it will be done ... But it's a good idea, tnx :)
@kryss483 Hahaha, that's okay, I'm in no hurry I've been learning Romanian on and off for a year now and I can only use first person "to be" and describe with colors:P I think I can wait a bit for the formal tense^_^
@allygetch oh my goodness... I'm wondering these things too.. i just started recently because my boyfriend is Romanian, and I'm Hispanic so I'm trying to connect the Spanish and some of the French I know from school. I need help from someone that already speaks Spanish and is learning Romanian!
@Drea92RR Wow that's really neat, yea I could totally help you, though I must say my Spanish is not really all that advanced unfortunately^^; but I will help with what I can^_^
@HaloKittyTripp Well, I have already made a video like that ... Ok, as I remember it doesn't include "you're beautiful", but that would be "eşti frumos/frumoasă" :D.
@HaloKittyTripp i love you = te iubesc , ( te= latin , iubesc = slavic , liuba ) ; you're beatiful = eşti frumoasă ( eşti , latin , to be : sum, esse ,fui , frumoasă = latin , formosus )
@tigress3333 surely I will :) I have "scheduled" some more general lessons, hope I'll get them ready for upload today or tomorrow, then I'll start your request :) Pa! :)
@kryss483 Eu sunt roman. Are you from Transilvania? Your accent sounds sort of mellow like people from Transilvania? :)

romanian is like that, you pronounce I to a lot of words that start with E
NicLolTorres 3 months ago
