you could of lowered the forks down a little more so there was less impact on the engine and transmission. your using bolt cutters to cut electrical wires then you start yanking on the wires...invest in some dikes/wire cutters especially when your making a video the whole world could see. the only kind of car you should be abusing in the manner is a ford. thanks for reading.
doesn't look very safe. I understand the engine may have made it out undamaged, but when you are dropping several hundred pounds of metal from 2 feet in the air, you never know how it is going to end up coming to a rest. Every time you cut an engine out like that, you're taking a risk of serious injury.
@grandamle91 , Look again. Observe that the entire sub-frame was dropped. The assembly actually landed upon the tyre, which is why we leave the tyres in place when using this technique. Engines are further cushioned by the lower engine mounts. This engine is on a shelf in my workshop. There is no damage. This technique only works for cars that have dismountable sub-frames, but that's a lot of cars. Stark
@grandamle91 the car is junk when the car is gonna be scrapped they usually just cut all the wiring and other useless items... As the Engine And Trans is what he was after. Which were removed unscathed. The Idea behind being a salvage yard is to remove engines quickly and efficently. we used to drop engines out of cars in 20 mins. By cutting lines, Wiring and everything else that was worthless.. . All those engines ran well in their new homes..
i know i'm drunk, but... that dude with the bolt cutter looked like he was on crack or something

@grandamle91 , Why would you make such an odd comment ? This engine has 98,000 miles, runs great, and is undamaged. Stark
