hate to pop your bubble btw he is african pied crow and american crow, Brown necks were never and still are not imported if you bought him from whom I think you did I'm 100% positve he is half native.
@Corvalis00@Corvalis00 Brian Blazers Corvid Ranch. Brian Blazer deals with quite a few exotics. From his page -Pied Crow (Corvus albus) crossed with Brown-necked Raven (Corvus ruficollis). Search Brian Blazer Corvid Ranch on google.
I have two things to say about this. 1) You have built a WONDERFUL aviary for your bird. I wish I could, but as of now, I am rather.. lacking in finances. : P 2) Where did you buy your raven? I've heard that crows and ravens make excellent pets. I would like to purchase a pied crow or raven myself. Suggestions? (At a later date, of course, as my current money levels have dropped substantially.)
NICE BIRD Void! I'm eyeballing a Hybrid from Corvidranch myself. Did Huginn lose his brown chest coloring as he matured, or was it a permanent coloring? I'm hoping to get a solid black hybrid myself; the white Pied's dont do a thing for me.
+1 internets to you for choosing that name. Should I ever save up the money to get a crow/raven (not native one of course) I'll be naming in Muginn. XD
@RinEditionB The correct name would be Muninn. The names come from an old Norse Eddic poem which talks about Odin and his two Ravens that he would send out every day at down down to Midgard (Earth), they would circle the world and return to Odin's shoulders at night in Asgard to tell him all that they saw.
@emperorvoid Damn, I was tired or watching too much anime when i typed muginn. XD meant muninn. Yep, norse myths are what got me into crows. and iceland. lol
Hi from Russell the crow in Bristol england. Thanks for the vid and is he growing some ? Your aviary is kinda like Russell's...I bring Russ in at night... he roosts on top of my door has done now for six years
I rescued one and called him Muninn :) Twins! Mine was a Little Raven (corvus mellori) native to Australia. Huginn is gorgeous! I wish I could keep a Raven as a pet. I've only ever rescued babies then released/ given to a wildlife carer.
Cool! Huginn looks like a good one. As long as you give him lots of love he'll stay around. And it's good he'll be able to fly around better if he has to get away from other birds. I like his colors.
Huginn's going to be pecking at that window every morning I think haha!
I will probably get a raven too, soon. (100% raven, not hybrid)
Cool video!!

Huginn means "Thought", and Muninn means "Memory". I need to do an update of Huginn sometime soon. He is rather large now, but still not full grown.

Mynahs aren't that smart, but they imitate like a tape recorder - just amazing

He is gorgeous! How do you know he is a boy? Very vocal! I hope you guys have a great life, I'm jealous.
Although all corvids are intelligent, from what I know the New Caledonian Raven is the smartest, on account that they fashion and use tools.
