The World Record he is talking about is the Lovstuen buck taken in 2003 during the Iowa youth season. It is the World Record Non-Typical Whitetail taken by a hunter,scoring just over 319 4/8. The actual World Record Non-Typical is still the "Missouri Giant" scoring 333 7/8 which is categorized as "picked up". Boone and Crockett will allow entries of trophy game animals that are picked up as long as the skull plate is intact and the trophy is legally owned.

I've hunted in the Albia, Monroe County area a few times. It has lots of monster bucks. Not as many the last two years, though with all the does getting thinned out. Just need an extra half million dollars and its mine.

The world record was shot in Biggar Saskatchewan, not Iowa. If you're speaking of a non-typical, the world record was in Missouri. Why the false advertising?
